Great coffee alternative - not bitter like some others I’ve tried, dissolves well too

This coffee is the only one I purchase now: I couldn't return to a normal brand because they just don't taste the same: I'm absolutely loving Barleycup: they have a variety of flavours and I absolutely recommend it!

Taste like coffe but o a lighter note. We use few drops of canadian maple syrup for sweetening and hope its healthier than coffee granules. Would be good when on offer.

Trying coffee substitutes for medical reasons, I came across this product. It does take a bit of getting used to, after my normal coffee but is an acceptable substitute once you get used to it. The chicory taste takes me back to my early days of drinking coffee when there wasn't the variety there is today. I use coffee creamer rather than milk and it does make the drink better in my opinion. All in all, not a bad drink once you get used to it.

Great product, suitable for people like me who love coffee but can't drink it due to GERD and LPR. It's a bit on the costly side but it is good and with a 200g bottle you get 2-3 large coffees a day for about 3 weeks. Which is basically the same as if you were to buy normal coffee. I like that it has barely any calories and ingredients are all natural. Will keep on buying

Tastes great. Actually Tastes like coffee but without as much sleep issues. Love the large size which is probably cheaper than coffee alternative I actually enjoyed & didn’t feel the need to go & buy real coffee after.

This just arrived moments after waking this morning, which is amazing as I ordered yesterday evening. I was very skeptical as a lifelong coffee addict with a very strong Italian/Turkish preference. However, coffee is no longer a pleasant experience for me due to histamine reaction and palpitations. Probably an ageing thing. The first impression of Barleycup was pleasantly surprising and certainly no worse than regular instant coffee, which I only drank when nothing else available. I did find it a bit difficult to drink a full mug, but I reckon a smaller continental cup would be better and cheaper. I needed a heaped teaspoonful. I also think that the coffee aroma helps greatly to fool the brain that this is the real deal. As others have said, it’s not great coffee but it’s an acceptably comforting alternative, with no coughing, itching, acid reflux, raised insulin or palpitations thankfully, which even decaf coffee does unfortunately (except for the palpitations). It’s worth a try but don’t expect the full on coffee vibe.

The taste is excellent. Like regular instant coffee but healthy.
