GAMT731 Universal Quick Fit 1/8" Grout Removal Blade,Black

Purchased a couple of these to clean out some excess grout for new tile floor in the basement. I used them with my Porter Cable oscillating multi-tool. Installation was simple and quick. They work really well and much faster than if you were using a hand tool. One thing though is that they do wear out quickly, but I was also doing a lot of tiles. Even after the edge wears out though, you can still use it but it takes more effort. Make sure you rotate the attachment to use all sides of it.

Was not 1/8” thick as advertised but did work well for cutting. Seems to hold up for the light duty use I needed.

When new, this product works appropriately. However, the abrasive portion doesn't last very long at all. I ordered three of these, hoping to clean mortar out of the grout lines on my whole floor install, before grouting the tile. However, I completely burned through two blades doing just the laundry room and one bathroom. Meanwhile, the Dremel blade that I was using before still looks practically brand new. I bought these as a more affordable alternative to the more expensive Dremel options, but they were a poor value proposition, in the end. Additionally, using them on a Rigid JobMax tool, I would like them to have about a 3" diameter, rather than 2.5", and it would've been more useful to have true 90-degree corners on the ends, rather than the more-than-90-degree corners it has. If you have one or two tiles to remove, these might fit the bill...but if you want them to last longer than that, I recommend another brand.

This is a good quality grinder blade for an oscillating hand tool, great for removing grout from between tile, just don’t use to much pressure or it will dull quickly. I went thru 3 of these removing grout from 20 8X12 tiles. I like the design as you can position the tool to a new section of the blade when the one you are working with gets dull.

I used this blade this past weekend. It worked very well for a 3' x 4' area. This grout is decades old. After that area I still had the rest of shower grout to cut out, but the blade became gunked and I could not scrape the gunk off. I did not use the tool into anything but the aged grout. So, for small area, this blade was excellent. For my shower space, I needed to go to the local hardware store and purchase a different manufacturer's blade. That other one was larger, and it finished the remaining walls without a problem.

Worked perfect for cleanup during a tiling project to prep work areas for grout. Any mortar gets destroyed without really damaging the tile if your careful.

If you are re-grouting a small bathroom you will need two or more. The abrasive portion wears off fairly quickly. Works well until then. I re-grouted a 4'x6' bathroom and the second one was almost completely worn down by the time I was done.

a little too small in diameter, rendering it somewhat useless when trying to reach deep grout spots... does the job however, only IF it reaches it
