Sent these as a surprise to my daughter in Colorado. She had a craving for her favorite chips only to learn they aren’t sold there in stores. Arrived quickly, fresh and perfect for a taste of home. Thank you!

I've bought these delicious chips a total of four times now and I've always bought two bags each. Where I live on the west coast you can never find this flavor with ripples aka ridges. All I can find Sour Cream & Onion in is regular Lay's. They don't even carry them in the Ruffles brand at all. So every few months or so I'll get online and see if I can find these at a decent price here on Amazon, and I can usually get a couple of bags for less than six dollars. If you love this flavor then you will no doubt want to buy these chips. They are honestly the best Sour Cream and Onion ones I've ever ate. Unlike some of the other reviewers I've never had an issue with shipping. My bags have always been shipped inside a box (maybe because I bought more than one at a time) and they've never been opened either, though I've had other kinds arrive popped open which I've heard can happen when flown at high elevations. The first couple of purchases I made were fine, but the last two times they reached me with a shelf life of only 7-10 days left. On the plus side they were still fresh tasting even though the second bag was expired by a week or so when we finally opened them. There was no staleness thankfully, but please be aware that if you buy them here there is a good chance they'll be near to expiring. For that reason I knocked off one star but otherwise they're great =)

My husband’s favorite chip is Herr’s sour cream and onion flavor. He found this company that ships bulk and immediately put it in our Amazon cart. He opened the first bag and it was delicious! He took two bags to work. Both bags had ZERO seasoning on the chips. Approximately half of the box were in seasoned regular potato chips. He was so highly disappointed. Because he didn’t know when one of the bags would be the correct one.

This is by far my favorite potato chip. When I want a snack, I want Herr's Sour Cream & Onion. Unfortunately, no matter where I buy it (Amazon or in-store), the quality is inconsistent. Some packages will be the most flavorful thing in the world, and the next will be the barren wasteland classified as a 'classic flavor' potato chip. I don't know how or why the quality is so inconsistent, but when it is on point it is the best potato chip in the business. I hope that they will produce more consistent quality chips in the future, but I doubt they will change their process.
