Better than I thought it would be
I've had a pizza oven before and know that it iks simply impossible to make a proper pizza without a real pizza oven that can get to 350C temps and above.I always cook a NY style hybrid pizza and so I'm looking for a temp of 350c ish and this did a great job of attaining that(not on full flame) and also quickly getting the stone back up to temp between pizzas.I was slightly sceptical, initially, of the rotating stone as I thought it was going to be automatic and was worried that A) it would susceptical to breaking down and B) I know that judgement is crucial when turning a pizza - something that just goes around and around wouldn't work properly in my book. The oven uses a standard gas bottle and is eady to set up and connect - it requires an initial burn though to burn off the manufacturing residue.I've found it heats up quickly, around 20 mins, and the dials are good quality.Usually, I would prefer a larger oven as it is more difficult to rotate a pizza in a tighter space but the rotating stone negates that as being an issue - once launched then the only time you your peel is to take it out again.I'm a big fan of this and will be using a LOT in summer!

Lovely pizzas
This pizza oven is a great option for making restaurant-quality pizza at home. The rotating stone ensures even cooking, and the gas-powered design heats up quickly, so you’re not waiting around forever. It’s easy to use, and the included pizza peel is a nice touch. The build quality feels solid, and it works well for outdoor cooking. The only downside is that it takes a bit of practice to get the perfect pizza, especially with temperature control. But once you get the hang of it, the results are amazing.

Great when the weather allows it
The Tefal Gas Rotating Stone Pizza Oven really does seem like it takes pizza creations to the next level and the fact you can manually rotate your pizza around does mean (as long as you’re keeping a close eye!) you get an even bake pretty much every time.Having a gas bbq mean I had the gas good to go and can really see the Tefal taking over the BBQ for more of the outdoor cooking as the quality of the pizza’s are fantastic. The oven itself is pretty big, heavy and bulky - as I’d be looking for in any outdoor cooking equipment so I mean that as a compliment. It’s built well and feels like it’s built to last - though I do wish it some form of covering or storage was included to help store it away during the downtime. It doesn’t use too much gas and gets to temperature remarkably quickly and is easy to use - I actually find making the pizza the hardest part, the cooking is now the easy part and that makes it an easy recommendation for me.

A tasty learning curve 🍕🍕
The media could not be loaded. This pizza oven is fully assembled you simply remove the packaging, fold out the legs and pop in the pizza stones. It had the gas tube already attached, we connected it to a butane gas bottle and struggled to get it to connect in the end we swapped out the connector for one we already had and then it worked fine. We were super excited to use this BUT don’t make the same mistake as us and think you can use this on its maiden voyage you can’t!!! It needs to heat for 2 hours upon first use…I’m assuming to self clean as lots of bits dropped down inside during this time. We decided to make some pizzas in our conventional oven (as we’re really hungry) then make one in the pizza oven and this allowed us to compare the two and not get hangry! We used a supermarket own brand sour pizza dough mix to make the base (this needs to prove for 40 mins) then added our passata and toppings. The one thing we didn’t have was the semolina we used flour and I really wish we had the semolina as getting the pizza to slide off the paddle into the pizza oven wasn’t easy!! We ended up using a wooden spoon to help push it off. The rotation facility is manual you can gently turn the knob and the pizza will spin on its own until the momentum stops. I have made a video of this where we are manually turning the stone. I wasn’t sure if this was just another gimmick but it is actually a great feature it allowed us to get a good even cook. The results…the pizza oven pizzas won because the base was nice and crispy compared to being cooked in the conventional oven. The first time set up was a bit of a let down but once done you only need to heat it for 20 mins which is fine. Very happy with the turning facility and overall quality and I really have no hesitation in recommending this to others.

Sleek
Very nice and sleek design. Set-up is very quick and easy and it comes with hose connector to the gas tank. Oven heats quickly as it’s a small oven. Very easy to operate and it’s very smart that the stone rotates so you don’t have to rotate the pizza itself for an even result. Pizza is ready in no time. You can see the whole pizza well as it turns so you can actually see when it’s ready without getting the peel to remove and check it. You do need a space for storage for it. Can’t wait for summer pizza and barbecue in the garden. I wish it was small enough to pack away for camping but we don’t have enough space for it in the campervan.
