422929 Landscape Flora 1 Hand Rolled Soft Pastel Set (20 Piece)

These are creamy and gorgeous! This small set is full of beautiful pinks and purples; for the price and assortment, it’s a perfect addition to a more traditional set. It feels like I went through and bought aaall the prettiest colors as singles. : ) I’m new to soft pastels, but I wanted to experiment with adding it to other media—particularly colored pencil and ink. I flat-out refuse to buy hobby-grade supplies. Why struggle with using cheap materials? I bought this set + a set of 30 from Unison. I figured I’d eventually splurge on a small Sennelier set, too, to compare all of them.

I never met a Jack Richeson that I didn't like. Soft and buttery, highly pigmented, and I love that they are available in small, affordable sets like this one. Excellent quality pastels. I now own several sets, and I would recommend them to anyone who's looking for a high-quality soft pastel at a relatively affordable price.

Love this set of Jack Richeson’s. Many sets lack a lot of purples and reds and this was a great addition to my collection. I’m also impressed with the softness and pigment in these since they are so affordable. I have and will buy more sets from this brand.

The colors themselves are incredibly vivid and chromatic. The textures they lay down, great. However it can a take a little more effort than required to get them to release color, or more specifically the effort required is not consistent color to color.

I am very pleased with this set of 20 hand-rolled Jack Richeson soft pastels curated for rich floral colors. They arrived in flawless condition, which is always a consideration when ordering such a fragile product. The pastel box itself has a generous foam interior with a little cradle to protect each pastel. It is important to note that Jack Richeson manufactures several levels of pastel products, so pay careful attention to the wording and unit pricing on the product. These were the richly pigmented, hand-rolled, very soft pastels I wanted.

Love the colours

Love these! I oringinally bought the earth tone (browns) and really loved how they worked. And these are no different! They are slightly drier than other high end brands and go on beautifully!

This collection of vibrant colours adds interesting hues to my collection that I wanted but didn’t have before. Jack Richeson pastels are rich, bright and soft and they lay down on the paper very easily. They work with all pastel papers, especially the sanded ones. This is my second box of Richeson Pastels and I’m about to buy a third collection today. I love this product - it’s great.

Got these on sale (<CAD$70) and enjoy the brilliant colors and nice selection of violets included. Similar lay-down to Unisons but half the size. I still think Unisons are a little better quality and value, but I'll buy more Jack Richeson hand rolled pastels if I can find good deals on Amazon.
