Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?

Sensational.
I don't know whether this is the first time the complete text of a novel has been adapted into graphic form, but if this one is anything to go by I hope it won't be the last.As is usual with hardback graphic novels this book is beautifuly bound and illustrated, making it a sure fire investment. This genre really is at the cutting edge of publishing. The sombre colours the artist has used fit the tone of the Phil Dick book perfectly. The most important aspect, for me at least, is the affect the format has on the text. I've read the book several times but reading the text broken down into speech boxes brings out all sorts of detail and nuance I didn't notice before. It is almost as if the text has been subjected to the scrutiny of Roland Barthes.I've got volume two already and can't wait for number three.Sensational is the only word I can think of that does justice to this piece of work.

Wonderful book ... and movie !!!!!
Normally SF is not my thing, but for this one I make an exception. Scary, a world filled with androids where even the domestic animals are replaced by electronic versions: see the electric sheep in the title. And then these androids who are so perfect ... that they also develop a will of their own, don't want to be slaves anymore.Scary. Surely see the picture when you have the occasion: "Blade runner" is the title with a wonderful Harrison Ford and a marvelous Rutger Hauer in the title roles !!!!! A must, the book as well as the movie !!!!!

Super graphical novel
This book is the first one I read in the graphical-novel genre. I really liked it. The illustrations by Parker added greatly to the mood set by the story. And of course, the story itself is already legendary. The extra pages with details about the author and extra illustrations were a nice extra. I look forward in reading the next books in this series!

Five Stars
Wonderful book, very bleak, and interesting divergences to Ridley Scott's film. And this was a nice hardback volume.

Brilliant idea
An essential read for any lover of sci-fi, with very important messages about what constitutes a sentient being and hierarchies in the human pecking order
