Kingston C-HUBC1-SR-EN Nucleum USB C Hub, Type-C Adapter Connect USB 3.0, HDMI, SD/MicroSD , Silver

At last a USB-C hub that works perfectly with my MacBook Pro (13-inch, 2016, Two Thunderbolt 3 ports). For a while I could not understand why every so often I would lose internet connection, yet my WiFi seemed to be connected. After troubleshooting I eventually traced it to my old USB-C hub which seemed to be affecting my MacBook Pro WiFi. I tried wrapping some kitchen foil around the cable but unfortunately it didn't help. After doing some research I came across this Kingston hub. Amazon's great deal made it a great buy, cheaper than my old hub so I decided to give it a try. I'm happy to say that my wifi issues have been resolved with this hub. It works perfectly, I've had an external USB-C drive connected, a USB midi keyboard, my MacBook charger and a USB audio interface all connected to the hub without any problem. I'm very pleased with this quality product which has an aluminium top and bottom casing and good quality plug. Haven't tried a HDMI monitor on it or SD card yet but I'm sure they will also work fine. Definitely recommended if you have an Apple MacBook Pro, only drawback is that it didn't include a carry case or pouch!

I purchased this to use with my 12.9” iPad Pro 2018. As a musician I want to charge the iPad, use a class compliant USB midi keyboard and plug in a pair of headphones using apples usb c headphone adapter. And this works perfectly. The combination of a usb c power delivery and a second usb c socket for other things seems to be fairly unusual for a hub at the moment. I tested it with an Akai LPK25, a Akai MPK mini and my M-Audio Axiom Pro 61 all are class compliant and all of them worked without any problems. I also plugged in my Apogee Duet for iPad and Mac and that worked fine through it too. I know another reviewer said they couldn’t get their midi keyboard to work, which I don’t understand as all mine work fine. I tested the hdmi port and that works great too.

It works kind of. Using it to power a laptop and screen. Sometimes the screen will not work so have unplug and reconnect. Was hoping the USB C would power the second screen but this will not work. So have to use the USB A-C converter. Does run hot but no major concern.

Works great when connecting iPad Pro 11 2018 to a tv and excellent feature of being able to charge device whilst in use. Slim line no thicker than iPad in a case and no wider. Fits easily into a padded soft sleeve pouch to take with me in the go. Cable to attach to device is sturdy, fairly flexible but may be too short for some. Simple to plug and and get going without using the instructions. Can’t say about the other features as I haven’t tried them yet and only really purchased it to connect iPad to tv. Nice colour too!

There are a stack of USB C hubs on Amazon, many of them cheaper than the Kingston Nucleum, so why pay more? Easy: this one works! I carefully sorted through the other offers, weighed up the various ratings and went with one. The USC C charging output didn't work, and the HDMI output was dodgy. Thank goodness for Amazon's excellent returns policy! Got this one, beautifully made, worked first time with my MacBook: the USB C charging output works perfectly, as does everything else. Kingston quality control beats cheap every time.

This adapter is simply one of the best usb-c hubs. You can always find cheap adapters but the chances are that they are slow or will break easily, this thing will not. It it not cheap, but you are definitely getting a premium product with a premium feel and a great capability. After testing it, the ports and the cable are durable for sure. I bought this with the purpose of using it with my iPad Pro, and I’m glad to say that all the ports are supported and are working as intended.

I bought this for connecting my iPad to a USB mixer, MIDI USB keyboard while charging. Works great, powers the USB MIDI keyboard, charges the iPad and as a bonus can output to HDMI at the same time. The only problem is the length of the cable. When I iPad is in its stand, the short cable means the hub is hanging in mid air, bit worried it might be putting a strain on the iPads USB port. I just don’t understand why the cable is so short.

Okay so after doing a lot of research on what dongle to get as there are SO many out there, I came across this one. The reviews were good, the product itself seemed solid, it was wired unlike those disgusting plug-in ones which take up 2 USB C ports on macbooks which are at constant risk of getting destroyed if you accidentally hit them, so I went with it. Initial thoughts, incredibly easy to use, nothing required, you just plug it in and it's ready to go. It does not heat up which is GREAT given that I mainly work of my hard drive so that's a big plus. All the ports work fine even though I haven't really tested the USB C charging one as I have 3 more of those on my laptop, so no point plugging it on through the dongle. The problem came up when I tried to connect either: Two Hard drives. One would eject and the other one would connect. It could not handle both at the same time which is a bummer. This also happened if I wanted to stick in an SD card, the hard drive would eject, and vice versa. This is in my opinion the biggest flaw for this dongle. Everything else is fine, design is great, sturdy, matches the colour of my macbook, it's just good overall. But the fact that you can't actually use all it's ports at the same time is a big disadvantage, you would expect that at this price you would get what you pay for.

I used to connect all my cables directly to my work laptop, and since moving them all to this device I haven't noticed a difference in the connectivity or performance. Currently connected to a monitor, mouse, audio and sometimes SD card. Having this makes it much easier switching between my work laptop and personal laptop. Highly recommend

Cercavo un Hub USB-c per ampliare le possibilità di connessione del mio MacBook Air 2018 e, in seguito alle varie recensioni lette in giro per il web, ho deciso di acquistare questo hub di Kingston, approfittando del prezzo scontato. Il prodotto si presenta subito bene, molto leggero e poco ingombrante, realizzato in alluminio con una striscia centrale in plastica rigida con alloggiate tutte le varie porte. In tutto presenta 7 porte: due USB-A, due USB-C (una per i dati e una per l'alimentazione), una HDMI e due slot per schede SD e micro SD. Non è presente una porta Ethernet RJ45 ma, personalmente, non lo ritengo un difetto. Non appena ricevuto l'ho subito testato collegando simultaneamente un iPhone 11 (USB-A), un Samsung T5 (USB-C), una PenDrive (USB-A) e l'alimentatore (USB-C/PS). Il MacBook ha rilevato subito e senza alcun problema tutte le connessioni. Gli unici difetti che possiamo trovargli sono, forse, la lunghezza del cavo (15cm al connettore) e l'assenza di piedini gommati. Nel complesso si rivela un ottimo hub, estremamente portatile e con una complessivamente buona dotazione di porte. Rapporto qualità prezzo abbastanza buono, soprattutto ora che si trova scontato rispetto al prezzo base.

This is a high quality little hub! I purchased this originally to use with a 2018 iPad Pro back in 2020 and it worked perfectly for the iPad despite Apple's horrible iPadOS Files App. Today, I use it with my M3 MacBook Air. I am not a creator. So I don't need insane ports, power and features, but I do need good reliability which this hub has been. Whenever I've needed it, it's never failed me. This thing has every port I'd ever need and is very well made. The price is also much lower than it used to be when I purchased it!
