The cards are readable and helpful for the tarot beginner, and they are fairly easy to shuffle. They are stiff, not flimsy. The coloration of the backing is slightly different on the top and the bottom, so if you have shuffled the deck to have reversals, you can figure out which ones are reversed by looking at the back of the card. They come wrapped in cellophane. The instruction booklet is the same size as the cards, and the type is very small, so keep that in mind if small type is difficult for you. But, really, everything you need is on the cards themselves.
