Game setup: 3 Star shapes set in a triangle on the grass, 3 colored rings per player and it plays 4 players. Goal: throw your rings in the triangle; rings in get a point, rings not in get no points. If a star is ringed by a player's ring, that player can toss the star elsewhere, effectively changing the "in" points space by making a new triangle via a move of one of the three points. Instructions vague on game end, several rounds to a decided number? I quite like this game as a family yard game with young kids (4 and 6); it's easy to play for them without being dull for the adults. The instructions talk about *if* you ring a star you can throw it elsewhere, but the game would be boring unless you treat star ringing as an intentional strategy. It isn't some thing I'll recommend to everyone, but it's a fun yard game for a family or to have for a group of children on their own. For adults only, I'd opt for something like kubb over this lighter game. Components well made durable plastic, bright but not garish colors.

First let me say that this is a very novel and fun outdoor activity that can be enjoyed by kids and adults alike. We had fun right away and I can see how it will be all the more enjoyable with practice. What impressed me right away was the look and feel of the set. The materials used and engineering of this game are several notches above what I've come to expect these days when everything seems to be getting downgraded to boost profits. The triangular stars click together to make sturdy structures and come apart so the whole set fits in a neat little bag. The rings are well weighted and feel good to hold and toss. I could go on but let me leave it at the fact that it's very easy to recommend this game!

Hape toys have always delivered high on quality and value in my experience and this is no different. It's all plastic which is a departure from Hape's usual wood construction but, in this case, plastic is the sensible choice and it feels very durable. In addition to the rings and stars, the set includes a measuring line and storage bag making it easy to get started. Everything assembled easily and work well. Rings feel good in the hand and toss well. Game play is good for both kids and adults.

This is a new game for us, in that we had not heard of this game before. We thought that it was just a form of ring toss, in order to only land the rings on the yellow jacks. We were wrong. We have to make a triangle and get the rings within the triangle, but the best part is that there is a strategy where I can land a ring on a yellow jack and then move that jack to create another triangle, effectively wiping out the points the previously tossed rings had gained by being in the first triangle. This is a very clever game and we really like it.
