It can be placed on top of a chair behind the lower back as a back massager, or you can strap it to the back of the chair behind the neck as a pillow massager. I lay down to do the neck massage because I find it more comfortable. There are different massage modes to choose from by quick pressing on the power button. The heat works pretty well although I don’t really use it because it is summertime. It would be nice to have the heat feature when the weather gets cooler. In addition, you will know when to charge because the green power light will turn orange to indicate low power. It can be easily recharged using the charging cable provided.
