I suffer from intermittent hearing loss due to sinusitus blocking my eustachian tubes. It typically lasts a few weeks at a time and is of varying degrees of severity. I don't need, and can't afford, a full spec hearing aid costing £000s. What I do need is something reasonably cheap that I can stick in my ear quickly and easily for a week or so til my hearing returns. I bought Echoedge having tried several similar products. Echoedge come in a small, sturdy charging case with LED indicator display. The devices themselves seem well-built, are reasonably small and fit in my ear comfortably. They come with a screwdriver, brush and a reasonable selection of domes. The devices have enough power to last all day and evening, charge up fully in a couple of hours/overnight, and the charging box seems to be happy being charged every 4-5 days. Switched on, the sound is reasonably clear, natural and largely free of distortion. I find I can hear well when watching tv or talking to other people, so they do what I need them to do. However they do not work so well in noisy, crowded places as then, they over-amplify the background noise. They are also quite prone to feedback, requiring regular adjustment of their position in the ear. The on-off switch is easy to operate, even in ear. The volume control is tiny but can be worked with a thumbnail if required. Overall, for £100 they are reasonably effective and good value. I have returned units costing much more where the sound quality was so poor as to be effectively useless.

I have been using this for a few weeks now. It makes conversations easier to follow, especially in quieter places. Background noise is minimal but noticeable very occasionally, but overall it does the job. The battery lasts a long time, and the design is small enough that it does not stand out.

For 10 minutes the left aid worked beautifully. I could clearly hear the clock ticking from yards away and all was well. Then I introduced the right one and they both started shrieking. No matter how I adjusted them, it wouldn't stop. As soon as the right approached the they both started shrieking. Everyone else in the room complained until I had to remove them. I had the feeling that they could be ideal but not until this shriek can be controlled or stopped.

Nice idea. Comfortable though problems getting rid of whistling.. Worked well for a couple of days then the left ear amplifier simply stopped working and they are being returned

We found these hearing amplifiers to be impressively small and discreet. Once worn, they’re barely noticeable, which was a big plus for us. It did take a few days to get used to them, but after that short adjustment period, the sound clarity was excellent. Voices came through clearly, and background noise was nicely reduced. The battery life is another highlight — we got close to 30 hours on a single charge, which meant we didn’t have to worry about constant recharging. Speaking of that, the charging process was simple and quick, and the HD power display made it easy to check battery levels. Overall, we’re happy with how these performed. They’re easy to use, comfortable, and deliver great sound. We’re glad to recommend them to anyone looking for a reliable and nearly invisible hearing amplifier.

I purchased this for my uncle and he’s very happy with it. The sound is clear, background noise is reduced, and it’s comfortable to wear. The charging case is easy to use and the battery lasts a long time. Definitely a good buy. Size is perfect. Quality is good

I’m under no illusion these are amplifiers not hearing aids but desperate to hear conversations especially my grandchildren, I thought I’d give them a try, they’re a little fiddly to pop in, I have narrow canals and they do not fit securely but they fit well enough to hear the tv and conversation and for that reason alone they were worth every penny, the unit to store and charge the amplifiers is small and a convenient size, and the battery time - I have charged the unit once in the past month. However I should warn people not to wear them in the kitchen - we have an induction hob - deafening! The microwave- deafening! The volume controls are fiddly but the on / off is easy and they have a little tab to pull them out. I don’t wear them all the time, when we have visitors, evening tv, music and I pop the unit in my bag when I go out, so if I’m meeting friends or seeing my grandchildren - I can hear them… quality as they are amplifiers - they amplify everything and are not tuned in to the frequency we need but as a cheap alternative - for me with exception of the fact they don’t fit perfectly they do the job, I can hear my grandchildren and hold conversations without saying pardon, the long battery life is a bonus, I’m very pleased with my purchase :-) if they fit better I would have given 5 *
