Great LED strip displays lights well we used it under the kitchen cabinets

Don't get me wrong here, but the life of these lights is varied. The first one I bought lasted almost 3 years before giving up. The next one hasn't lasted a year (the middle 1m of 3m has died). However, would I buy them again? Yes - they just look so good and come ready to install - no faffing about with locating a power pack or the right connections - they're just plug and play - so long as the socket is VERY close to where they need to be! These lights are brilliant in so many ways. The warm white is really nice and creates a lovely uplight behind our sofa onto the tropical wallpaper! The only downside is the length of the wire between the lights and the plug - why so short? Seems unnecessarily so.

Very happy with my purchase. I fixed them along a flight of stairs as a night light for our children. The plug and lead may be shorter than people are expecting but it's certainly a solvable problem.

***Under no circumstances should this product be for sale. Do not buy this product*** This comes loose in a jiffy bag and wrapped with a couple of bits of nasty thin cellophane-type wrap around the mains plug and one of the joints. No instructions, but one of the seller replies above says to remove this wrap, which makes sense as it doesn't appear in the illustration photos on the product listing. There's a moulded block between the mains plug and the LED strip. Reading Q&As here I'm guessing this is a bridge rectifier for AC>DC conversion as the seller/manufacturer replies state the LEDs run off 220-240v DC. The "moulded" termination at the end of the LED strip fell off, leaving the bare ends at the end of the run exposed to fingers and weather. The "moulded" joint after the AC->DC lump looks like it might have been smeared with some sort of dielectric grease, presumably to keep water out, but as there's nothing to actually hold the joint together, that proved pointless. Maybe the thin layer of nasty cellophane type wrap is there to do that! Anyway, the bare pins from the output of the AC->DC converter slid right out from the LED strip during basic handling, arced and tripped my RCD. And just as well as, had it remained live in one of this product's recommended "safe" uses, I might not be. ***Under no circumstances should this product be for sale. Do not buy this product.***

Bought this for under a cupboard and it has worked fine for ages. Left on overnight no problems and would recommend this.

This is the 4th time I've purchased this product in the past 5 months but the results are still the same - the led lights fail at some point sooner or later. This time I purchased a 10m strip and after spending 2 hours fitting it and turning it on, there are at least 10 LEDs along the strip that don't work at all or are very faint. So overall it's a very well priced product but don't expect the quality to match. I'll be purchasing from elsewhere next time around.
