If you have read any of my other suncare reviews, you will know that I am fiercely brand-loyal to Malibu, and I absolutely detest the feeling of thick, gloopy sun lotions. When you are trying to relax on a sun lounger in the sun, the last thing you want is to be covered in a tacky white paste that turns you into a human magnet for sand. That is exactly why I strictly stick to their spray line, and this Malibu SPF 50 Clear Spray is, without a doubt, the absolute favourite in my entire holiday arsenal. This product is a masterclass in how suncare should actually feel. Because it’s a clear spray, it goes on effortlessly and dries down almost instantly. There is no endless rubbing in, no suffocating white residue, and absolutely no sticky aftermath. It just leaves your skin feeling dry, protected, and smelling like a proper, classic summer holiday. Delivering factor 50 protection in a formula that feels this weightless is genuinely brilliant engineering. Aesthetically, the 250ml bottle is a substantial size that will easily survive heavy usage on a family trip. At this price point, the value for money compared to the overly expensive, heavily marketed designer suncare brands you find at airport pharmacies is genuinely staggering. If you want maximum protection with zero mess, this is the only product you need to pack. Pros: -The clear, dry-feel spray formula completely eliminates the misery of thick, sticky sun lotions. -Incredible value for money for a large 250ml bottle of high-factor protection. -Smells exactly like a proper summer holiday without feeling heavy or greasy on the skin. Cons: -As an aerosol-style spray, you do need to be careful applying it on a very windy beach to ensure it actually hits your skin. -The clear formula means you have to pay attention to where you've sprayed so you don't miss a spot. As a white irishman with skin the colour of curdled milk, I've tried a LOT of sun protection over the years. This is my current fave. I tend to avoid creams now as they make my skin feel sticky and grimy like I've been dipped in olive oil. But this spray one has been the solution: it's easy to spritz on, it's clear so it doesn't feel too heavy, and the coconut scent is my favourite part of it - it adds to the summer holiday feel when you're walking around smelling like a piña colada. Having used it for several holidays now in baking sun, I can also confirm it does protect well - I still look like a ghost.

As a former red-head with fair skin (now a grey and wrinkley) I have suffered more than my fair share of sun-burn in the past but have used this product with confidence and to good effect for some time now. It is clear and thin enough to spray on easily, affording good coverage without needing to apply copious quantities and, because and is not greasy, it quickly gives a dry finish so you don't look or feel like you have been basted with cooking oil! It doesn't seem to stain clothing like some other products and a single application lasts me all day although I confess I do not lie out and fry in full sun for long periods. Recommended.

The product arrived and there was a bit of leakage, but weirdly no damage to the bottle itself, it just needed a quick wipe down. Overall I'd say it's quite a good product, it definitely gives a dry feel and protects from the sun well. The smell isn't as intense as some other brands, which I quite like. Overall a good product, just likely needs more protection during the packing process

Brilliant sunscreen. My son burns & blisters very quickly in the sun. Used other SPF50 and he still burns. This is by far the best we’ve tried.

On my fourth bottle. Was at a festival in 37 Celsius for a week with my bald head and didn’t burn once. Obviously use common sense and reapply after hour and half or so for the bonnet but everywhere else you’ll be fine with one top up through the day. Lovely smell, non greasy, quick dry, doesn’t feel too noticeable once applied, non stain. Never let me down.

I buy this for my kids for when at school and they can’t reapply. Never had a burnt child, I do however reapply to be safe when I have my children home with me and obviously after being in water etc. I do not personally apply this to their faces, it dries nicely on the skin and doesn’t leave it oily but is a little oily when it first goes on and I tend to use a sensitive cream for my children’s faces. I haven’t noticed any yellow stains onto clothes, I apply it wait ten minutes and then dress the children I man their school uniforms and they come back stain free (well suncream stain free anyway)! It rubs in really easy and easy to apply and personally I adore the smell, a bit like coconuts, even one of the teachers commented how nice the smell was to my children! I prefer this for bodies as not a thick cream and doesn’t leave them white or sticky. I buy this same product year after year and really do rate it very highly!

A perfect option to be tan free keeps the skin safe and my skin doesn't feel dehydrated a perfectly option for the beach day.

By far the best sunscreen I have used. It's long lasting and completely protects your skin from sun and dust.
