ACEBOTT ESP32 Smart Robot Arm Car Kit,Compatible with Arduino STEM DIY Gift

I bought this robot mainly to teach my daughter some basic programming and electronics. We had a lot of fun putting it together, and I think hands-on learning like this is much more interesting for kids than just learning coding on a computer. It uses ESP32, and right now we are working on the Wi-Fi module and trying to control different functions through Wi-Fi. I think this is a great STEM project for kids 10 years old and up, especially if they are interested in robots, coding, or electronics. It is also a nice project for parents and kids to work on together.

We got the robot with arm extension kit. It was a great time for me and my kid to learn about robot and programming together. Highly recommended not only the highly quality robots, but the protocols, the programming tools, top notch.

When it was shipped, it was missing a key piece to the robot and we don't seem to be able to find the piece on the ACEBOTT website. The piece is the 'trace sensor' and it is the key part to the robot. So currently, I am out about $140 due to a missing piece with no way to replace it.

Got this for my teenager who is getting into robotics, and they loved it! The omnidirectional Mecanum wheels combined with the 5 DOF robotic arm make movement super cool to program. Great way to learn Arduino and logic skills.

5 stars for the car. Easy to assemble and run. The phone app works well. I did have some trouble with AceCode under linux. Nothing a friendly LLM couldnt fix. 3 stars for the arm. The micro servos werent strong enough the shoulder and the chasis rotation. The chasis rotation could have used something with less friction and more sturdy construction. The app controls were pretty clunky. I learned a lot about servos from this, but from what went wrong rather than what went right.

I had a great time putting this robotic arm car together with my son. The metal servos feel solid, the mecanum wheels glide in every direction, and the preloaded program makes the first run surprisingly fun. It’s a hands‑on kit that really pulls you into building, tweaking, and experimenting—perfect for anyone who enjoys learning by doing.

This robot is fantastic—it’s great for both learning and entertainment, and my child really loves it.

The pre-burned program and comprehensive user manual made this smart robot car incredibly easy to enjoy right after assembly, with no need to hunt down extra online tutorials. My teenager loved experimenting with the remote control features while learning how to code using both Blockly and Python. It is a fantastic, hands-on STEM educational project that perfectly balances fun and learning.
