Google Nest WiFi Pro 6E GA03030-US Fast Speed and Whole Home Coverage Mesh Router -Color Snow

I went from the original Google Wifi pod system to this. I live in a split-level home and the previous version had issues getting to all areas of the house, even with 3 pods. This two pod system has performed much better. I'm seeing 95% connection or better all through the house and even outside on the patio. Our internet is supposed to be 1 gig. And this thing is showing around 985mbps. Quiet a bit higher than what we were seeing previously.

Works perfectly and so easy to set up

We previously added a third node to the guest bedroom but surprisingly enough, it failed in less than six months. Perhaps I could have sent it back to Google for repairs or replacement but considering that I purchased the unit from a popular site which begins with eB**, I could not ascertain whether this unit was still under warranty. That being said, I decided to go ahead and purchase a new one (node). We received it in amazing Amazon quick shipping time and my wife unboxed it, took it to the guest bedroom, and set it up with the Google Home app. It worked like a charm and it's fully up and operational. Prior to me writing this review, I asked her if we've had any issues with it and she said that we have not. This, I hope is a good sign! (Hope I didn't jinx myself!). She would normally receive some sort of notification if one of the three nodes is not working properly. All three are working just fine at this time. Exactly what I needed to extend my mesh Wi-Fi by one additional point. Easy setup, provides excellent coverage.

The replacement of my soon-to-be supported Orbi router went very well, except for linking to 2.4 GHz wireless plugs. However, it linked very well with the Matter plugs. All is easily controlled by the Google Home app. Coverage for my 1,800 square foot house is adequate and meets my low demand.

This Google Nest router has great hardware features, but terrible software. The router can only be setup and controlled by the Google Home app, which WILL NOT allow disabling the "power saving" mode, so my Apple TV constantly reports "No WiFi" during streaming. I am visually impaired, so I have VoiceOver on, so I constantly hear this notification during streaming. The Settings page in the Google Home app is very poorly designed. Settings for (1) Internet settings, (2) LAN/Ethernet Settings, and (3) Wifi are not separated or organized well. There are limited "advanced" settings. Also, there is no Quality of Service (QoS) settings, so I can't tell the router to prioritize Apple TV WiFi traffic. My tests show an $80 TP-Link router has faster WiFi than this $150 Google Nest, possibly because the Nest has to come out of low power mode, and re-establish a connection each time. Bottom line, the fact that I can't disable the "power saving" mode was a deal breaker for me.

Plugged it in set it up works great

El wifi 6 funciona perfecto en todos los lugares de mi apartamento de 100m2, PERO por su funcionamiento 'inteligente" cada vez que la intensidad de la señal cae al 70% aproximadamente (muy fácil en algunas zonas de mi apartamento) cambia a wifi 5 y dada la saturación de este canal en un edificio básicamente se pierde la conexión aunque la intensidad de la señal suba al 80-100%; es decir pasa de una intensidad del 70% totalmente funcional a un 100% que no sirve ni para cargar una simple imagen. Pero esto no es lo peor, el GRAN problema de todo esto es que de nuevo, al ser TAN "inteligente" no permite cambiar manualmente de tecnología de wifi (de nuevo a la 6) de forma manual y tampoco permite tener tener redes independientes en 5 y 6; por lo anterior funciona peor que el modem barato de mi operadora. Esperé que esto fuera un tema de firmware y lo actualicé pero siguió exactamente igual y ya se venció el tiempo de mi garantia por lo que básicamente perdí dinero en algo que funciona peor que un producto mucho más barato que ya tengo. La única forma que funcione bien es en dispositivos Windows porque básicamente a nivel de configuración Windows si permite forzar a qué solo se use la banda de wifi 6; situación que al parecer no es posible en iOS o Android. En mi PC con Windows 11 funciona muy bien (estable y a gran velocidad) siendo que es el dispositivo más alejado del router pero al formar el canal de wifi 6 nunca cambia a 5 y funciona excelente.

El producto llegó muy bien, me sorprendio lo rápido que llegó a pesar de la importacion Pero hablando del producto la conexión es muy buena, la configuración super intuitiva 10/10 recomendado

Great price but this is either a refurb or a return. Did not come in original Google packaging. Unit setup and seems to be working fine so happy to save $100. Just wish the original listing was clear it was not Google original.
