Luckily I bought extra blades, which you should do anyway, and finished up 66 scarves for the homeless. The orange button in the center moves the cover out of the way so you can cut. REMEMBERING to put it back in my own issue, not the product's. I like this cutter. It wasn't expensive and I'd recommend it again. I use it in my camper as I travel as well. So it stays with all my other sewing supplies inside a great clear box!

I use this for mesh wreaths. It cuts but needs to be sharper because I have to press down a lot on it

Good for small paper cutting jobs
It's a nice hand held size, not too big (like it belongs in an office) and relatively easy to use.
