Hebie Standard Steering Damper Black/Silver 28 mm-32 mm

After fitting a Hebie bipod to my Surly Disk Trucker, I noticed a real problem with the front wheel turning completely round whenever I parked. This little product solved that problem very easily. It doesn't get in the way of steering either. I have only previously seen these fitted to Dutch bikes, but it works fine on my tourer.

Fitted this to a traditional English three-speed gents' town bike which, while perfectly rideable, had a slight practicality issue with the steering flopping all over the place once you're not riding (ie. pushing the bike, or parking, or loading shopping onto the rack). This was reasonably simple to fit, as long as you're comfortable undoing your front brake and putting it back on again (if not, have a workshop do it). It doesn't interfere with my large 1980s steel mudguard, which is a bonus. Comes with a generous selection of different fittings and parts depending on your bike's setup, and good fitting instructions. Use a rubber strip to secure the clamp from the frame, just like you would for handlebar lights (cut from an old punctured innertube works brilliantly) - this prevents scratching the frame paintwork and any possibility of slipping. Built-in thumb screw usefully fine-tunes the tension without needing any tools. It's fixed my bike's tendency for the steering to 'flop' when trying to park or on a workstand; however, it can't completely eliminate the last couple of degrees of wobble, so it's not stable enough to suddenly make no-handed riding possible. The bike is far easier to park now and wheel no-handed, so overall I'm really happy. It has seriously made city cycling more practical.

Nachdem ich an einem typischen Hollandrad einen Zweibein-Ständer nachgerüstet hatte schlug das Vorderrad in Parkposition immer zur Seite um. Nach Montage dieses Dämpfers steht das Vorderrad nun ganz sicher in gerader Position wenn das Fahrrad abgestellt wird. Das Fahrverhalten wird nicht negativ beeinflusst. Die. Montage war sehr einfach und die Materialanmutung entspricht derjenigen diverser Alternativprodukte. Das Ding lässt sich bei Bedarf auch noch feinjustieren. Ich bin mit dem Produkt und der raschen Lieferung voll zufrieden.

Ademas de faltarle el tornillo de la abrazadera al tubo, en mi caso la pieza de plastico para enganchar al cuadro se queda pequeña para las 3 bicis que tengo. A ninguna le ha valido, y eso que son las 3 de paseo, nada de mtb. Un desastre!
