This is my first pair of "nice" binoculars for birding and wow! What a difference between these and every other <$100 pair I've ever looked through. Yes, they are pricey but very much worth it. They are sturdy, have attached lens and eyepiece covers and a nice case. Unfortunately, the case does not zip closed with the strap attached to the binoculars... An easy fix for this would be to have two zippers or to make it just a bit larger to accommodate the strap. You can make it work with it zipped halfway and the snap closure but it's not idea. They are on the heavy side but the included strap is neoprene and nice and wide. The clarity is unbelievable! Once you have them adjusted to you, you won't want look through a $60 pair ever again. They are well worth the money.

These are very nice binoculars for travel, hunting and some birding. Ergonomics: very easy to use, i like the lens cap system (but some won’t as it has potential to get in your way—can be removed and re-attached quickly). Easy to adjust lens, and really nice, easy to adjust eye cups. Case: there is a passable, zippered nylon weave case with minimal rigidity, no padding, no lanyard) Lanyard: attaches with snap-locks, well cushioned, very nice. Unless you prefer a two-loop harness, this will likely serve you well) Lens quality: seem decent, but not comparable to my heirloom quality zeiss 10x49 binos).good to great light collection. Good field of view. Some haloing? Not sure if due to lens quality, limited relief of lens to end of housing, or my 56 year old eyes). Weight-not light, a heavy binocular for this size and price. Overall: design is 4 stars, construction 4 stars, ergonomics a five, weight a 3, lanyard a 5. Not best in class but solid buy for a product built in China.

We gave these as a holiday gift to someone who is an avid bird & wildlife watcher. As luck would have it, they also got a MUCH (3-4x) more expensive pair of binoculars (different brand) at the same time. After trying out both pairs of binoculars, they liked these Zeiss models better - more clarity and light thru the lenses, and much lighter and more comfortable to carry than the other ones they received.

I received the 8x42 Zeiss binoculars . I ordered the Zeiss because I own several of their riflescopes and have been very happy with the quality of the brand. I find the balance and clarity of these binoculars to be outstanding and again,am very happy with the brand.

I am really impressed with these binoculars. The clarity is fantastic. I love how I can focus on close objects, which has been great for looking at details on birds visiting my feeder just 15 feet away. The focus adjustment is super fast, with a quick nudge allowing me to focus on trees far away. Yet the dial is solid with no play, making it easy not to overshoot. Size is small enough to make convenient and light enough not to be a burden when taking it on hikes.

Bel binocolo e molto robusto. Lo uso in montagna per osservazione e devo dire che mi sta dando soddisfazioni. Forse qualche piccola aberrazione cromatica ai nordi, ma nulla di che (tendenzialmente sibosserva verso il centro del campo visivo)

Impeccable German quality. Perfect packaging. You want to take the binoculars out and stroke them all the time, use them... Very comfortable... Everything has been thought out down to the smallest detail. I have no complaints... The image quality you see through the 3D eyepieces is excellent. The depth of field is simply unlimited. Someone wrote that they don't fit in the case with the strap and that the lens caps can't be secured... That's complete nonsense... everything fits perfectly - everything can be secured. There's nothing superfluous and it's perfectly thought out! It was a little expensive for me, but I don't regret spending money on a real thing that will serve both me and my children!

Well made, light, easy on the eyes and close focussing. May not be actually manufactured by Zeiss, but to my eyes it is as good as "real" Zeiss made optics. The eye caps are a bit fiddly to attach to the neck strap, but there is a way to do it and then they remain captive and yet easily popped back on afterwards. I am delighted by these.
