The best that can be done. Maybe...
Before I start, I didn't buy this because I wanted one-upmanship on peole online. I don't do much online, I have Counter-Strike for that, which is quite frankly the ultimate shooter. It's for the one player experience. Moving along...A lot of the comments already written are true. It does feel a bit light and plasticy, but I found it very intuiitve to use, especially when you get the sensitivity right. It made Killzone 2 more enjoyable and added a new dimension to MGS4, although MGS4 is better with a pad in my opinion. Sensitivity can be changed on the fly, etc, some games are hit and miss. When trying to spin around quickly in KZ2, I found less is more, and by turning slower, I actually turned faster. Took some getting used to, but I got there and it was worth it.My main gripe is the nunchuck attachment and how much cramp it gave me in my left hand. It doesn't fill the palm, not like the good ol' XBox 360 controller, which I like very much despite being a PS3 owner. I often have to take breaks of 30 minutes for my poor left pinky to recover.I like it's features though. The reviewer who tested it with UT3 as a regular mouse is wrong because it doesn't work as a regular mouse anyway. When you do switch it to regular mouse mode, it simply does a stick and button swap. Simulating a stick on a mouse must be very difficult, but this controller manages very well with a bit of tinkering. It's not PC compatible before you ask, but a PC is required to do firmware updates to the device which have made a difference so far.All in all, I liked it and I would buy another one. The FPS should be played with a keyboard and mouse. Lets hope there will be some kind of game or firmware update that will allow regular keyboards and mice to be used. They would be an improvement on this, but i'll take it anyway

Don't Waste Your £££
I really wanted this to be the controller that would help me with FPS.I often have trouble aiming the standard sticks on controllers, so naturally i decided to go for a mouse, or at least the closest one can get on the PS3.My experience with the SF comes from using it on MW2, I suspect alot of people reading reviews for this would be hoping that it works well on this game.On the Pit i was able to get a time much faster than any time i have ever got before, this gave me enormous confidence to try it online. This however is where it fell down.Whilst online there seems to be a certain amount of tearing, and generally lag from the mouse. You can knock down the sensitivity in both game and on the unit to reduce this, but then you are likely to be to slow for the competition and will undo any good in using it as intended.I have to say though at medium to long range my aim was much much better, I was able to take down about 3-4 prestige players whilst hiding (ok camping, getting used to the controller, need to camp for a bit!) in the building on skidrow. The aim did feel good, although the slight delay and tearing was quite disconcerting.Close range is where the SF falls apart. The tearing issue essentially makes it impossible to see the enemy (because at close range you must move the mouse more to turn etc)I still dont know if im sending it back, im not sure if alot of these issues arn't teething issues or whether the product is just badly engineered, having heard reports on how excelllent the fragnstein is compared to this it gives my own doubts about the product more credulity.Onto the physicallity of the controller.Never in all my years have i seen a device which is so terribly constructed; the mouse is far too light and has an absolute horrible feel. The authenticity hologram on the bottom of it is by far the most expensive part of it.The keys seem to have trouble telling when they are being pressed, sometimes it just lets go even when i didnt initiate it.Overall im deeply unimpressed, I will persevere with it though, although im wishing i had heard about the fragnstein before i bought this.

Better as time goes one...
I initially gave this product a poor write up, as it was cheap feeling and jerky while playing FPS games.....since then I've tried the Fragnstein (the other Mouse on the market for PS3)....I liked that at first, felt better and closer to an actual PC Mouse....however the micro movements on the fragnstein are not nearly smooth enough and it's very very jerky even with latest firmware at time of writing.I also find the fragnstein that bit heavier to move, which is essential when playing a fast flowing game like COD MW2....On to the Fragfx V2...I'd abandoned this for a few weeks after only giving it a shot play......however, going back to it recently, I have been kicking myself.....this targets very smoothly and is as good as the official PS3 controller for those micro movements, by that I mean looking at a target through a given scope..The mouse being light, means it's easy to pick up and move during intense firefights.........Ok, it's on a cable and is cheap feeling...but it does make FPS games like MW2 a joy.....

Suits COD games
Suits COD games, but limiting in other FPS's. This model is getting old in the tooth now, seek out a newer product model.

I was recommended this product by a friend, so i searched out the reviews here, mmm 50/50 some pll love it, some hate it, well i took his advice, reason: Im used to playing on a pc using mouse keyboard ,dont get me wrong im used to the joypad, but i always struggled getting accurate headshots etc, acurate aiming. After using this for 5mins i knew i hadnt wasted my cash, so anyone whose used to playing keyboard mouse combo been put off by the ps3 because of that or pll who struggle been accurate with the pad, id 100% recomend it. Its well made , plenty of cable for desktop use, and good value for money.
