Q: Can it be used on van barn doors?

It depends a little on what the vehicle is. Some barn doors lift higher when they open and have sharp corners, others are more rounded. It can work but one must be careful - maybe putting pipe lagging over the tops of the doors. If it rains it would also have more of a tendency to pool water. Ideally a little bent pole between the tops of the doors would work really well. Depending on which vehicle you have would also determine whether you are best off getting the XL or normal height one.
