I got this because I got tired of replacing flimsy rolls of yoga mats over and over that weren't even comfortable (those that have quite the booty, will totally get what I mean). I know this is meant for intense use (MMA, Gymnastics, etc) but, I liked that it looked like a thick mat that was black and sturdy. Now, there is a lot to appreciate in the construction of this item: • Can tell it is very durable - the stitchwork is strong as the material used to make the pads. • The cushion is wonderfully dense - can comfortably support 180-325lbs. • The materials don't have a funky smell and are easy to clean. • The item is quite wide and long - (I use it sometimes to exercise while watching tv and even snoozed on it once lol) • Easy to tuck away somewhere once folded up At this price point, I feel like this was an excellent investment in improving my health and definitely recommend it to anyone that is tired of feeling the cold hard floor while doing their exercises & yoga. ** 2025 Update: I still own this and it has not fallen apart, peeled, or lost density. It has held up really well throughout a lot of exercise videos and movie nights.

I am very satisfied with my purchase. The mat appears to be excellent quality, with durable vinyl covering and firm, supportive foam that provides great cushioning during use. The bright pink color is beautiful and was an instant hit with my daughter. I was also very impressed with the customer service. When there was an issue with the delivery date not being available in the system, the company contacted me immediately and proactively sent a replacement. Their quick response and commitment to customer satisfaction were outstanding. I usually do not revew products but this one really deserve it. I would definitely recommend it to others.

I didn’t expect much from a folding mat, but this BalanceFrom tri-fold exercise mat has genuinely exceeded expectations. At 6 ft long × 2 ft wide (72 × 24 inches) and a substantial 2 inches thick, it absorbs pressure without feeling mushy—perfect for yoga, gymnastics, MMA, or just stretching out—especially on hard floors. What surprised me most is how lightweight it remains—around 3 lb—and the added tri-fold design with handles makes it remarkably easy to carry, stash under the bed, or bring along to the gym. The surface is a durable, non-slip vinyl that wipes clean effortlessly—great for keeping it hygienic after workouts. Great mat! Thick enough to protect knees and joints, folds neatly with handles, and easy to clean. Feels sturdier than expected—perfect for my morning yoga and my daughter’s gymnastics practice.

Package arrived with the box severely damaged and 1/4 of the box was missing leaving the mat exposed. After taking it out of the rest of the box and removing the plastic, it looked intact. I flip it over and there is a nail stuck in the mat. This is the only time the Amazon delivery person did not take a picture of the package when they left it at my doorstep. Otherwise, the mat is firm and just the right size for my workouts.

I wish I would have thought of this years ago!!! I was living in a cargo trailer for 6 years and bought a camping mat to sleep on (I had finally recovered from using a wheelchair and hospital bed for 2 years after an auto accident). For the first 3 months I was in excruciating pain every morning when I woke up and it would take me quite a while to get off the floor. Now I live in a travel trailer but am having a queen size mattress is proving nearly as difficult with the pain. I started looking for something in between a camping mat (or bare floor) and a mattress. Low and behold, I just a week ago started looking at gymnastic mats and found this one (2” thick rather than a camping mats for 1/4” - 1/2”). The price is within my budget and the reviews were pretty good so I thought I’d give it a try. I also like the color blue and that was one of the color choices! Can’t beat that! I bought a purple one for my Mom too (we were suffering from the accident together and we still live together and she too has been in a lot of pain). The mats came fast and when I looked it over, the stitching seemed durable enough and the material thick enough and I appreciate that I didn’t have to air it out (it had a slight odor but it didn’t make me sick). I tested it out last night and this morning I didn’t want to get up, NOT BECAUSE OF THE PAIN BUT BECAUSE I WAS IN SO MUCH LESS PAIN! This would make a nice camping mat if you don’t mind it’s about the size of a folding table (a little thicker); it’s far better on the joints and more durable too. I was trying to leave a separate review for the purple mat my Mom used, but the review seem tied together, so I guess I’ll have to include it as an update: Mom says she loves the color! There was a slight odor, but with a quick wipe down (with lemon essential oil) the odor was gone. She’d been sleeping in a 0gravity lawn chair for 2 weeks and this may was a nice change. She slept much better, didn’t have to get up so much in the night, and says it’ll be her new bed from now on. It’s thicker padding and the cover and stitching seem to be heavy duty. Along with my review, she’s also giving her mat a 5 star!

We just received these in pink and blue and gave them a test run! Thrilled! I am have severe advanced rheumatoid arthritis, fibromyalgia and multiple other autoimmune diseases and syndromes that have caused considerable permanent damage to my joints and body (13 years now...I got it an extremely severe case early in adulthood very suddenly.) I have always been athletic and am still very strong, but have been unable to excercise due to the pandemic. It's made my RA & other issues much worse, I don't sleep well because of it and it's caused weight gain and loss of energy. I normally swim year round and lift weights, but I am in 3+ high risk categories. I haven't been able to exercise like normal in almost a year and neither has my family (except for a 3 or 4 week period where we could swim in the ocean late August into September. Boy was that HEAVEN!) Our gym pool is not fully open & when it is it's such a short time period that you have to make a reservation for that it doesn't work for us (plus you aren't allowed to change there and they aren't really accomodating for the disabled. ) I have asthma so I can't breathe properly in a mask for weight lifting so that's not safe. We have an area in our living room that has just enough space for so we dug out our box of pilates dvd's, balance ball and checked out what Amazon had to stream from Amazon video because we were going nuts being sedentary and it was making my RA considerably worse as well as a back injury. We had a great time doing yoga and two pilates workouts the first day, but I discovered that my trusty yoga mat I've had forever (still like new) was no longer enough cushion for me. I ended up with bruises on my lower back and tailbone as we have wood floors and a new area rug (lovely, but different from our old one.) I also needed to get a proper yoga mat for a family member. I typed in "thick yoga mat" and these mats popped up! I had severe pain with certain exercises on Day 1 in my knees and hips and suddenly I realized that I usually did my floor exercise on mats like this at the gym! (I used to do them at home too, but that was 5 years ago and my RA has advanced as I am medication resistant unfortunately....not about to let it stop me though :)) I looked at other mats like these and they're considerably more expensive! I checked out getting a 4×8 or a 4×10 to pop down for our daily excercise sessions, but they were much more expensive than just getting two of these to try under our individual yoga mats. It's snowing and raining out now and that's when my RA is worse. We just got these off the porch and opened them up and gave them a test run immediately! The colors are cheerful! They fold down and fold up SUPER easily and feel stable and firm, but give a solid amount of cushion! (Full 2") We're SO EXCITED!!! We're excited to get one more for another family member too. Our yoga mats pop down on top perfectly! Even with my bad bruising from the other day I could still roll around! I could even to poses putting pressure on my wrists and knees which are normally not possible due to joint damage. I REALLY hope they last and are super durable in the lon run! We hope they keep the lower price on the pink and blue sowe can buy more! We really are excited and LOVE them so far! It's funny, but these mats (if they stay sturdy and hold up) are going to be making a HUUUUGE difference in our lives! Being able to excercise comfortably for as long as we want daily again is important for everyone, but with my disabilities it's the ONLY thing that helps control my painful autoimmune diseases as none of the available meds work as I have tried them ALL(diet & excercise in conjunction.) They will also make a GIANT difference for my family since we have to stay home due to the pandemic and this excercise outlet is SO IMPORTANT! Members of my family were doing so much better EMOTIONALLY as well as physically with our new daily excercise options even after just ONE day!!! OK! I will give a SHORT UPDATE after a month or two! Fingers crossed that they are as wonderful & durable for years to come as they were today! It really was like a second Christmas for us! :)

Good pad, bought for my 6 year old granddaughter, to put under her bar. She and her parents really like it for the safety and comfort it provides.

I’m really impressed with this mat. The material is thick and dense, providing great support and comfort. The easy-clean cover and convenient handle make it super practical to carry around. I bought two so I’d have enough length and width for stretching, and the quality is just as good—if not better—than the mats at my gym. First impressions 1. advertised dimensions: 6' x 2' x 2"; actual measured dimensions: 5'8" x 23" x 2" (ie. 180cm x 59cm x 5cm) 2. mat seems sturdy and thick 3. no velcro 4. carrying handles attached 5. correct color 6. cushioning is firm and not squishy Will start exercising on it and see how the mat holds up
