This kit has everything for the practical hobbyist, DIYer, car mechanic, electrician etc which is all the things I do. The battery & motor has grunt so it keep on running even under duress. The motor unit size is perfect for hand controlled work and the built in light helps illuminate the work area, although the collet nut does add shadow on the work point which can be a pain. The various spindles and sanders/cutters are great for all the types of work I do. The price was a bargain for all this kit.

This is a decent little tool for the price - that part of the sentence is important. *For the price* you can't really go wrong.However, presumably because of the low price point, it's not got a huge amount of power, so if you press too hard on it, it's going to stop working. It's been good for light craft work, but I use a cordless dremel for our dogs nails, and this couldn't cope with the pressure for that. It didn't stop, but it slowed and juddered enough that I couldn't use it any more.I can see it being a really good addition for the crafty bits I do around the house, and the charge does last a good while, but it's definitely not going to be replacing the dremel.

Found it easy to charge and set up initially. Instructions were clear. Balance is good for fine detailing. Easy to change chuck size for the different tools supplied. Overall better than I thought it would be for the price.

Really good for the price, yes it sometimes stop if pressed to hard but in general really happy with it

With quite a bit of model making and crafting going on in our home this rechargeable/cordless rotary tool has been used by both me and my partner, my partner is the modeller and I love crafting and we get along sharing the spare bedroom for our hobbies.This Hardell rotary tool has been used for lots of little light duty jobs such as removing flashing from white metal and resin model kits, drilling small holes in wood, plastic and resin kit parts etc.We would say that this is definitely a light duty tool, it uses a low voltage and low torque motor so can struggle if you try to work it too hard. This said it still gets used a lot as the other rotary tool we have is corded and not so easy to work with in comparison.Overall a very useful light duty rotary tool, if you try to exceed its limits though you will struggle. 4 stars for cost and performance.
