This item just came in and you get to inbox it with me ☺️ What it came with: (1) very short charging cable, (1) key ring and carabiner, (1) personal alarm. The personal alarm PROS: The material feels non-slip making it easy to grip and handle. The alarm activator loop is secure yet still easy to separate from the alarm body. Once separated the alarm is at an earpearcing decibel and the flashing light blinding. I'm sure in an emergency situation you will be seen and heard from a distance with one caveat which I will cover next. CONS: This alarm has the same features and build as the [plethora of] others I compared it to within the same pricepoint before purchasing...and they all have the same design gap. If I have the alarm exposed and clipped for easy access, and the movement is too grab the alarm body and yank, it is VERY likely my hand will be covering the light and the sound opening(s) which will prevent the device from function effectively, as intended. I noted a significant muting of the sound when I had a grip around the alarm body. SUGGESTED DESIGN/MANUFACTURING IMPROVEMENTS: The device (actually *all* devices like this one) needs a secondary cord that also attaches to the ring/carabiner, but allows flexibility or provides enough length for the pull *AND RELEASE* action to activate the alarm without interfering with its optimal functioning. I want to be hands-free to defend myself and run when necessary. I will not be able to do that if I'm worried about adjusting my grip so that the light is seen and the sound heard... and if I adjust my grip, the likelyhood of me dropping the alarm is high (and even higher if there is a physical altercation). It's also likely that I will NOT be standing where the alarm drops long enough to actually search for it and pick it up. By the time someone follows the alert of that wonderfully annoying little device to help me, if I'm not attached to it, HOW WILL THEY FIND ME THEN? I want more than a device to (hopefully) scare someone away, I want all the features to also search as "echo location" if SHTF. IN SUMMARY: I will happily use this device to walk independently, with confidence, and I'll recommend this device to family and friends.

This thing is super loud! I believe it's perfect for deterring someone. It's a great price, lightweight, has strobing lights, and functional. It comes with a couple different rings to attach to something. I recommend!

I am a very Amazon Prime satisfied customer of the personal alarm/light. Being rechargeable is an added plus! I feel very confident and secure wearing on my neck lanyard.

I liked the colors it provided and how nice it felt on my hands. The texture was soft and buttery. It was very loud when I pulled the pin off. However I lost it and couldn't test how it would be for someone further away. It was hard for me to put it back into the handle because it was hurting my own ears as well. So it would be nice if the user has something to protect themselves from it. However, I've read that you can toss it towards attacker or a bit away from you because it's mainly to call for help. And although it's a bit harder for me to return it, it'll at least stop attacked from stopping the alarm as well. And the device hurting my ears does let me know that it should do the same for an attacker. I was also comparing it to another set I bought with a flash light and it's a shame this one didn't have it. This one is a bit bigger, however, and easier to pull if needed. The rings that come with it is really pretty and durable and can be used in different arrangements except for something thin and for the small ring specifically, I just have to pull the opening a bit more because the handle is a bit on the thicker side.

This alarm is awesome. It’s incredibly loud and the strobe feature will come in handy at night. I’m very happy with this and it’s the perfect size for my keychain.

As a solo traveler, this compact, affordable device gives me great peace of mind. Pulling the loop is a quick way to trip the very loud audible. It’s inconspicuous when hanging from my purse, backpack or belt loop. Showed to my coworker who immediately purchased.

I was a bit concerned when I was ordering this alarm. Wasn't convinced it would do the job well or even work. So glad I decided to get this alarm because it does a great job. It is relatively easy to set up and use. The alarm is loud, but not so loud that the ears won't tolerate the noise. I charged it up (one of the perks to this alarm) and fastened it to my purse. Everything fit well and so far, thankfully, I haven't needed to use it. I did, however, get the chance to hear exactly what it would sound like as I accidently set it off. Not my intention, as it slipped between a slotted bench seat and when I got up, there was enough force to separate the alarm from the pin. Loud??.. yes it was. I immediately reached for it on the ground, replaced the pin and my ears were happy once again. Gave the people around me a scare, but they understood as many had these on their purses. So, it definitely works, accident or not. For the safety, security and the ability to recharge the battery yourself, this is something all women and me should have on them for emergencies. Recommend this brand's personal emergency alarm.

Ich hatte meinen vorherigen Taschenalarm wegen des Feuerwehr-Karabinerhakens verloren. Daher war der "Verschluss" des Vantamo-Taschenalarms ausschlaggebend für meine Kaufentscheidung. Ein weiterer Grund waren die beiden „Lautsprecher“. Angesichts der Größe kann es entscheidend sein, dass zumindest einer der beiden Lautsprecher nicht mit der Hand verdeckt wird. Der Taschenalarm ist sehr leicht und relativ klein. „Extra laut“ sollte man unbedingt ernst nehmen! Ich habe den Alarm nach dem Aufladen in einem Zimmer getestet (Grüße an meine Nachbarn) und habe nach dem Sound einige Stunden lang nicht richtig gehört, dazu kam noch ein leichter Tinnitus. Glücklicherweise war das am nächsten Tag verschwunden. Die Steckverbindung sitzt relativ fest, was bei der Lautstärke insofern sinnvoll ist, als man keinen Fehlalarm auslösen möchte.

I like the sleek design and love the blue colour. The pin is secure but also easy to use when needed. The siren is loud with a bright flashing light. The battery lasts for ages and is easy to charge. A good little gadget to have on you when out and about.

J’ai acheté cette alarme de poche que j’accroche à mes clés, et elle me rassure beaucoup au quotidien. Ayant déjà été victime d’une agression, c’est un accessoire qui m’apporte un vrai sentiment de sécurité. L’alarme est très puissante, suffisamment pour surprendre et dissuader en cas de danger. Le son est vraiment fort, ce qui peut attirer l’attention rapidement et potentiellement faire fuir un agresseur. Il y a également une fonction lumière, pratique la nuit pour se repérer ou signaler sa présence. Le format est compact, facile à transporter, et le fait de pouvoir l’attacher à ses clés est un vrai plus : on l’a toujours sur soi sans y penser. Petit bémol : il faut bien penser à la recharger régulièrement pour s’assurer qu’elle fonctionne en cas de besoin. En résumé, un petit dispositif simple mais efficace, qui apporte un vrai plus en termes de sécurité personnelle. Je recommande.

The Vantamo personal alarm is a great concept for safety & good to have on hand! 👍🏼 I carry my alarm with me everywhere and it's on my set of keys. Love how the battery is rechargeable and that the light blinks if the battery is running low. I haven't had to charge my battery again yet and it's about eight months into a full charge (yep I do test it occasionally and it still works!). This alarm also has a handy flashing light that blinks on and off as the alarm is sounding: this is helpful at night. Also, the alarm is certainly loud enough to deter any one who might be following you: if you're feeling like you might be followed, please just pull the trigger off and allow the alarm to keep sounding as you walk away from the issue of concern. The person following you is not likely to keep stalking you while your alarm is sounding. And I've read people carry this on hikes to help deter animals away such as coyotes: that's a good idea as well. I've already recommended this alarm to a number of people I know and I bought a couple extra for family members as well.
