I bought this book shortly after it was released but didn’t get a chance to read What an incredible book. Wish I knew this years ago! If you want to take steps to prevent cognitive decline and the potential of Alzheimer’s, get this book. I plan to buy several more copies and give to friends and family.

As a physician with over 35 years of clinical experience, I found this book extremely accurate in its coverage of brain enhancement. Over the years, I have tried to follow most of these eight parameters, and the book provided the scientific background for why I should do so. I loved Holford's ability to combine hardcore science and common sense to guide people down the path to improved brain function and overall health. The book deserves six stars!

Although I've read other books on Alzheimer’s and dementia, this one included some important information I hadn't read before, especially regarding the importance of reducing homocysteine, which is a biomarker for many diseases including brain shrinkage. This information alone makes this book worth a read.

A must read for everybody over 50, who will gain much by reading and applying what they read in it. Plenty of practical advice in a fluently written and well organized book with minimal jargon. Highly recommended!
