Codex Dark Eldar

Games Workshop's books are getting more and more expensive, so I was glad that the Dark Eldar codex is only $33 (because it's 5th Ed.). You'll really get your money's worth with this one because the book is packed with amazing artwork and background information on one of the most deranged and sinister forces available for you to play in the 40k universe. I've only played one game so far with my Dark Eldar army, but I'm loving the speed and deadly firepower that currently defines the Dark Eldar play style. I recommend this to anyone looking to field an army that, while not very resilient, will run circles around everyone else.

First off this is not a product for everyone. In fact this is a product for a select few. If you are into Warhammer 40K and you want the fastest army this is your codex. If you want an army with some truly amazing abilities and equipment this is your codex. If you want an army whose armor consists of wet cardboard and 1 ply toilet paper. THIS IS YOUR CODEX.I recommend this product, it came at a great price.

Tells you everything about the race and looks great. I now know the full history of the Dark Eldar and what they can and can't do.

This codex is very helpful when playing dark eldar. Pretty much tells you the info on the Dark Eldar and makes them a lot easier to play.

This is by far my favorite Warhammer 40k Codex. Phil Kelly ahs always been good, but this is his Games Workshop magnum opus.The fluff (the narrative and flavor text) is dark, clever, occassionally funny, and always brilliant. The backgrounds for the characters are awesome and the description of the units mildly disturbing (and awesome).As for the crunch (rules) almost every unit is useful. Some units have fallen out of favor due to 6th edition, but this is not the authors fault. The mandrakes are however, and are the only unit that is utterly worthless. The vehicles are fast and armed to the teeth, the infatry have a nice selection of murderous options available to them, and some of the HQ can be kitted out with truly abominable wargear.The army itself is unique in that the units get stronger over the course of the battle, gaining added benefits as they slaughter their way through the enemy, and when combined with the speed and fragility of the models it makes them a delightful challenge to play. That said, you could go for an army of Haemonculi, Wracks, and Beastmasters, and fireld an army with as many wounds as the tyranids.

Havnt been able to read but looked through it and is great. Great artwork. Lore seems great. And the weapons are very peculiar and stunning. Great for colectors and dark eldar alike.

Endlich ist es soweit... die Dark Eldar begeben sich auf die jagt nach seelen und sie sind hungrig!Dieser Codex ist Games Workshop typisch sehr aufwendig gemacht.Man erfährt alles über die Eldar und wie sie zum bösartigem Volk der Dark Eldar wurden. Es gibt fiele schwarz weiss Zeichnungen die alleden Charakter der Dark Eldar gut rüber bringen. Es gibt auch einige farb Abbildungen, auf denen die neuen Miniaturenbemalt und in ihrer vollen Schönheit abgebildet sind. Dazu muss ich wirklich sagen das der detailgrad und das Aussehender Figuren wirklich zu dem besten gehört was GW je gebracht hat.Darüber hinaus beinhaltet er alle Regeln um eine Arme der Dark Eldar aufzustellen und zu spielen.Einige der Regeln wurden verbessert und neue eingeführt. Doch wieweit diese nützlich sind wirt sich noch zeigen.Nach zwei Eldar armeen die ich mein eigen nennen kann, bin ich wirklich glücklich endlich die neuen miniaturenihrer Bössen Brüder in die schlacht zu werfen, um das imperium in blut, schmerz und gewalt untergehen zu sehen.In diesem Sinne, möge eüch der Imperator beistehen.Nachtrag: Da nun einige neue Modelle eschienen sind, sollte erwähnt werden das es in dem Codex zu diesen keine Farbabbildungen gibt.
