Enough with the whining!
My router bit set arrived this morning. I quickly opened the package fearing for the worst because of so many reviews. I wasn't that amazed when I opened the case and saw all but 2 bits in there holders. I inspected them next to my couple of Freud bits and a set of Ryobi bits from HD. Definitely not freud's but I don't know anyone that buys a Ford Focus expects it to perform like a an 8 series BMW. I completed a dining room table I have been working on. The two bits I used worked as they should with no burn. Obviously only time will tell if the bits are going to last but a $100 purchase is just that. If you work with wood and you aren't making thousands of dollars on each project these bits will probably work for you. Great selection and like so many others have said once you wear out the couple bits you use most often replace them with Freud's. The case is definitely flimsy but I wasn't buying a case. My five stars are for the value and fit and finish for the money.

Great set for beginner
This is good starter set when you do not know what you need.I am giving it 5 stars because you cannot find a better set for the price. When buying this set, I thought that after trying the bits out I would buy the professional quality bits to replace the most used bits in this set. I was actually surprised with the quality of the bits. After over a month of heavily using some of the bits they are still in a pretty good shape.-- Update After using this set for over 3 years, I am still very happy with this purchase. I've used the bits on numerous projects - radiator covers, moldings, bookshelves and kid's furniture. For majority of the projects I've used Oak (hardwood) and the bits held up well. I still own the majority of the bits. I've replaced/added 4 professional quality bits after years of usage. There is a huge difference in quality between professional bits and this set. But for the price of this set you would only get 2 to 3 professional quality bits.At this point I would still recommend this set to any beginner woodworker or anyone who is unsure what wood projects they will pick up. If you know exactly what you need to do and only need 1 bit for the job, go for professional quality.

Not too bad for the price
When I got these I was not too sure what I was going to get. I have only used three of these so far, but I was impressed with the results so far. I don't know how long the edges will last or how well they will work with hardwood, but on the pine I used for some projects around the house I was more than surprised at how well they did. I used a couple of round over bits and one moulding bit and they worked very well with no tear out. Only a little tearing on some knots. About the same results I would have expected out of my Freud bits. They may wear out, the bearings may go bad, or I may find some wobbly ones. But for a set with lots of different choices for a good price you can not beat it. If some go bad that I think I may want to use a lot I will just buy a better brand to replace it. That is what I have done on a smaller set of Grizzly bits. I wore a couple out and bought some better bits to replace them. And the case is cheep, but sturdy enough to hold the set, and handy to haul them out of storage and put on my table to decide which one I need.

What some do NOT know
I just ordered this set today, and expect it next day overnight. I just love when some complain about the case. I did NOT buy this set for its case. That one even comes with the bits is an added bonus. Let me see at least $10 for an aluminum case? maybe $15... So now I look at the price for 80 router bits made of tungsten carbide at around $80 for 80 bits. Hmm thats $1 buck a bit. As far as quality. Some seem to equate name brand or price per bit as meaning quality. Last I looked either it is or is not tungsten carbide. Not too many "blends" to produce carbide out in the real world. If these bits run true with no runout, and cut smoothly, I expect these to out-live me. First thing I will do is use these bits to build a proper storage drawer for them in my custom router table I am finishing up. Not sure what I will do with the case, perhaps give it to grandson to play with. Seriously people, probably not one reviewer has the knowledge or instrumentation to make a proper evaluation as to the "quality" of the carbide used in manufacturing these bits, or for that matter ANY bits. Machining is either at specification, or it is not. And that includes the finish. Easy to measure with micrometer and a good visual. Many people have stated they cut smooth with no apparent problems. Not one stated if they cut to dimensions..or are not true, i.e run-out... I also wonder how many people are sooo careful as to Never "nick" a bit during normal use. Will they throw it away? Probably not. I will examine each bit on arrival with a jewelers loop 10x power, and amend this review as to nick or not, and SUBJECTIVE visual appearance. I think that at $1 a bit, even if half were sooo bad as to throw them away, you are still ahead of the game at $2/bit.. I am all for "buy American" and all, but those companies need to examine their labor costs and profit margins or risk losing greater and greater shares of market to foreign competition. As one reviewer said, remember Japan way back when it was associated with garbage. Well even that garbage back in the 60's and 70's was still pretty good stuff for the money. Now, they beat the pants off many American Companies as far as quality and cost. I would like anyone to explain higher cost per router bit as equating quality, and what that quality specifically means in terms of usage, and end results. I recently paid around $80 for a raised panel specialty bit. Curious what forging method, or type of machining or what special machining tolerances were used to justify that cost, other than not that big of a market for those type of bits. Less market = higher price?... I think not. Perhaps the average do-it-yourselfer, weekend warrior does not make raised panel doors, and ONLY a FOR profit (can afford to pay outlandish price to make money with) shop does? THINK about why Companies charge large $$ for certain items....in the market place. Will amend this in a week or so after initial visual inspection, and then a SUBJECTIVE review of using them, i.e. finished product produced by them, tolerance achieved, and visual appearance.I for one, am tired of Wall street brainwashing us to believe pure garbage with ads, and mis-representations. I am retired now, and watch my money even more carefully than I did in my active times of life. I think these bits will prove to be a "Steal-Deal", as many items here on Amazon are. Being disabled, and not easily able to go to stores, I buy a tremendous amount of things here. If a problem arises, Amazon fixes it, no questions asked yesterday. THAT is service. And the PRIME membership, well that makes it cheaper than driving to stores ...till then, please feel free to comment..

Great value FOR THE PRICE!!
It's obvious what these router bits are. They are not expensive router bits for a reason. With that being said I am thoroughly impressed with these bits. I am a beginning wood worker and these bits accomplished exactly what I wanted them too. My plan was to buy these cheap bits as a full set in order to see what I am actually going to be using on a regular basis and upgrade them as they wear out. A few of these bits did have a few nicks in them, nothing major though. So far I've used close to half of these bits, mostly on soft pine and MDF and was impressed with the outcome. No burns and a fairly clean cut considering the price point on these. If you go into this purchase knowing these are not top of the line, then you should be as satisfied as me.

Big selection which is nice
Great price .... I have only used a few but I have used them a lot . 1/2'' shank is awesome and makes them much tougher . Big selection which is nice .. I was buying 1 or 2 here and there ( all 1/4'' shank cheapies ) sometimes they were great sometimes they would break right away . So far everyone of these is awesome ... well worth the money for a pretty good package

These are fantastic Roger Bits
I searched high & low for a Router bit set that had the most practical bits for my uses & these didn’t let me down. Brilliantly presented in a metal case & 1/2” Shank make them perfect for my Router.

Really good buy
I had expectations of some damage from the reviews but I was happy to only find that two bits had jumped out of their holes. The bits that I have used chewed a significant amount of wood and no signs of heat build up or any lost carbide.I'm a happy wood worker.
