I can't speak on the accuracy of the gauge, I never compared it to anything. I use it to check temperature difference at the vents and it worked great for that.

I'm really pretty happy with this thermometer. I tested its accuracy with a tool gauge calibrated thermometer and it was spot on, I very happy about that. I like the size of the dial make my old eyes happy too. I like analog gauges as long as they are accurate, digital thermometers may be more accurate over all however my OCD can't stand that flipping back and forth on the last 10th digit. I like its simple design with no wires to fuss with, just pull it out and put it in the vent that's it. I like the durability and that it has no batteries. Just call me old school.

I was looking for a small and cheaper thermometer to use for making cheese, and I found this thermometer. It is well worth its price. I already made a couple of mozzarella cheese, and it means that the thermometer works OK in the range 20-100F. Lastly the stem is long enough (5") to measure the temperature and avoid burns :-) I recommend it for small cooking jobs.

This is used to check the temperature of the air from my air conditioners, both vehicle and home window units. Living in Florida I have three for this purpose. When the temperature is no longer reaching the preset 40°F output I know the unit is falling so I prepare to replace it. A/C is vital for most of the year when heat and humidity reaches dangerous levels. It seems to be a quality product though it was not calibrated out of the box. Using a digital kitchen thermometer and a similar A/C probe in a glass of ice cubes and water I adjusted it to match the other two. No problem, it sits in the vent so I can check on it when I pass by. For the money it's a good value. It's analog, no batteries. Easy to use once calibrated you'll never have to touch it again. A durable product that will easily last for years.

I got this oversized thermometer as my parents were saying their ac didn't seem like it was putting out like it should. Due to it being almost 2 times the size of a normal thermometer, they can glance at it easier and know. Plus package had instructions to calibrate it with a known temperature which I liked.

I use it at the AC vent of my car to see the vent temperature. It works very well, the size is good, and the face lens makes readings easy. It is useful and I recommend it.
