It arrived in a ‘Julienne Peeler’ box, not a ‘Dual Julienne Peeler & Vegetable Peeler’ box as shown online. I didn’t even open the first box and requested a replacement, assuming the website description might be incorrect since the price seemed more in line with a single peeler rather than a dual one. When the replacement arrived in the same Julienne Peeler box, I decided to open it and check the item. To my surprise, both boxes actually contained the dual peeler inside. The peeler works very well—it peels and juliennes effortlessly. I especially like that there are no moving parts. There’s no knob to turn to switch blades; each side serves a different function, which makes it simple and intuitive to use. Cleaning is also easy. I just rinsed it under running water, and it was clean in seconds.

It made short order out of juilliening a carrot. I found it easiest and safest to hold the peeled carrot on a cutting board and running this cutter along the carrot rather than holding the carrot in my hand. The way this tool works is the cutter has sharp vertical blades that create the julienne vertical cuts, then it runs the carrot over a regular horizontal serrated peeling blade to cut the strips from the carrot. Both take place in a single pass. The added vertical blades meand this gadget needs to be used with more attention than a regular vegetable peeler. But then you want this for its special julienning feature, not its basic peeling fiction, right? I really liked the julienne cutter. It also comes with a regular peeling blade which is also serrated. The serrated peeler, I'm sure is to keep the blade sharp longer, but I much prefer a regular straight, flat peeler to the serrated peeler which leaves a rougher surface behind than a smooth bladed peeler. Bottom line? Buy this for the quick, easy work it makes for creating julienne stripes. Don't buy it if you are looking for just a basic vegetable peeler.

PERFECT. I have an old, faithful side-scroller peeler that allows push+pull peeling but I needed a Y Peeler ( not sure if that means you hold it straight ahead? Forgive me I don't know Kitchen language 😅). Much better than the one I found at W___art because I can peeler push&Pull style. Good blade and quality built; heavy and strong. Love this thing, as it does great on all of my potatoes / sweet potatoes. Even worked well on Oranges. Great purchase and exactly what I was looking for.

A must have. My mandoline does not Julienne, like this tool! Angle the tool to get the best results, and peel/cut rapidly. Leaves a pattern on peels, that help hold spices, chili paste. Removes potato eyes, bruises, easily. Root veggies can stop the cutting, just clear it, rinse, and start anew! Sturdy, and well made, will last for quite some time.
