Brightown Outdoor String Lights, 69FT G40 LED IP65 Waterproof Patio Lights

I absolutely love these lights! I have them everywhere. They're bright but not too bright, warm but not dim, super easy to hang and connect and with the addition of a timer, are always making any place more comfortable. I run these pretty much day-round and haven't blown a bulb yet, including the one's I've dropped. I've ordered at least five sets so far and am about to order a few more.

Absolutely love these for my three season room! They were easy to hang up and shine a beautiful amber glow. There is no flickering and is versatile for any function. Highly recommend!

Cute lights. Easy to hang. They put off a nice soft light. They seem pretty durable. I just barely hung them today, So far so good. If they don’t last or I have any issues I’ll update my review. I like them. I’ll probably buy another set.

This is a quality set of lights overall: Packaged well, nice heavy cord, etc. The lights are a bit of a pain to install, in the sense that you must unscrew each bulb, hang the lights and then screw in each bulb. It's time consuming, but it serves the purpose of preventing bulbs from breaking as you are hanging the lights. As I stood on a ladder, having finally gotten the string of lights in the general place I wanted it, I dropped one of the bulbs and it shattered. That's on me. Thankfully the lights ship with one replacement bulb. Oh good, I thought, the manufacturers were thoughtful enough to prepare for this eventuality. I clean up the glass, replace the bulb, and carry on installing the lights. Then I go to plug them in. One light is dead already and another is flickering like it's about to give out. I tried screwing and unscrewing the bulbs, moving bulbs around to see if it was an issue of faulty wiring as opposed to bulbs, and no, it's the bulbs. UPDATE: It's been 2 weeks since I wrote the initial review and I have to drop another star. Two more bulbs seem to have burnt out in less than 10 hrs of total use. UPDATE 2: It's been about a week and a half since the last update. I received a very thoughtful email from the seller expressing regret about my negative experience with this product. They explained that sometimes in the manufacturing or in shipping, microscopic fissures can occur in the bulbs, allowing air to enter and causing them to burn out quickly. It seems I just got unlucky and received a particularly fragile set. They offered to send me replacement bulbs and fuses in order to fix the problem. I have updated my rating to reflect their good customer service. When I receive the bulbs and the situation is completely resolved, I will check in again.

Perfect for my patio

Looking for some inexpensive patio style lights to use under our awning while camping and these fit the application. I like the fast the bulbs are 12" apart so lots of light - but since each bulb is only 5 W not so much it over powers the campground. I actually built a dimmer for these as well. The cable, plugs and hardware seem of good quality for this price point. In my application they will not get a lot of use, nor will they be exposed to extremes of weather. My opinion is these will hold up reasonably well if left outdoors all the time - I would expect to get a couple of seasons of use. Only complaint - and its not an issue with the product per-se - is the bulbs. They appear to be glass that is quite thin and I think will break easily if dropped. Using them as I am for camping I have to be very careful when putting them up/taking down not to have the bulbs hit the ground. They came very well packed - and that partially solved the complaint. The rigid foam insert used in the packaging allows the bulbs to be reinserted for storage. This is awesome! The foam should last a long time and it 100% protects the bulbs during transport or storage. I also got two replacement bulbs - I think the listing said they came with one so happy times! Conclusion - at this price point you can't go wrong. Even if you have to buy a complete set of replacement bulbs (I'd go LED) this would only add another $20 and still a great deal. If things change over this summers camping season I'll update this review but I expect to use for these years as part of my camping kit.

Lights are great, perfect size to light up my backyard.

The bulbs are very widely spaced…I haven’t measured specifically but they’ve got to be spaced at least 18” (perhaps even 24”) apart. The output is fairly low so I feel like if they added more to the string the overall effect would be much better light output. But I’m giving it three stars because at the end of the day, all the bulbs worked and generally they look nice at night.

These lights are amazing and just a perfect amount of brightness for the outdoors patios/spaces. It’s a cozy warm light and not overly bright which to me is exactly what I was looking for. Excellent value for the money. Lets see how well they hold up. However was strange that in the instructions it said only for temporary installation of max 90 days. I didn’t quite understand that, as it also says there is a 1 year manufacturer warranty so that was a bit contradicting in a way. I sure hope they aren’t meant to last only 3 months because that would be quite disappointing. I have only had them for a day so can’t speak so much for longevity but installation was a breeze, very straightforward.

Update 2 summers later: bulbs and wiring holding up great! They are put up under our gazebo each spring and taken down in the fall. Haven't had a single one burn out yet. Used a few times each week from May to Oct each of the last 2 summers. All still working when I put them up for this season too. Broke 1 bulb dropping it by accident so good thing there were a couple of extra bulbs in the original box. Still very happy with these lights! Original review-June 2020: Came as advertized and were well packed. Only 1 lightbulb out of the whole string of lights that didn't work but the 50 foot set came with 2 spare bulbs so we were still good. Only took maybe 1/2 hour to set up in our gazebo. Beautiful warm white glow just nicely bright enough to see everything inside the gazebo and not glaring at all. I definately recommend this seller and product.

These are great. Put in my gazebo and with just one string of lights, it lit up enough that we could sit out there and play cards nicely. It was very pretty. They’re really nice.

Great value for the money! Brightness is exactly what I was looking for. Awesome ambiance for my back yard, not too bright for sitting under at a camp fire. With that said, I’ve only used them one night. Time will tell if they hold up. However, with all that said, one of the three sets I ordered blew a fuse when plugged in (separate from the other two sets; plugged in alone on separate plug). I used up the extra fuses that came with each set in the one faulty set, hoping it was a dud fuse. But it blew two more. Just messaged the seller and awaiting a response. Still giving a four star review, because the sets that do work, I love.
