Good ready-to-use rat control kit
This is a good ready-to-use rat control kit and itโs useful having the bait boxes and refill blocks included together. The pre-baited boxes make it more straightforward than buying everything separately, especially if you want something you can put in place without much setup.Itโs suitable for indoor or outdoor use, which makes it practical for sheds, garages, gardens or other areas where rats may be a problem. The extra 300g of refill blocks is also handy, as it means the kit can be topped up when needed. As with any rat poison, it does need to be used carefully and kept well away from children, pets and non-target animals. Overall, a practical kit for dealing with a rat issue.

Ideal
I put 2 bait boxes in cellar and put 5 blocks in each, checked each day and had to refill ended up using 25 blocks over 4 days they took the stuff right away, says it takes 3/4 days and takes it back to its nest (which I'm glad I never seen any) and sure enough after that time there's been no activity, would recommend

Very Effective
The product definitely works and I would recommend them to anyone else tackling a rat infestation. Since new homes and flats were built on the wasteland behind our house, we have had a massive issue with rats in the area-sheds, houses, compost bins have all been taken over. The council will not assist most of us as we privately own our homes and those that could get free assistance are the ones that refuse to do anything and are where the rats are currently camping out. After trying numerous methods to deter them from visiting with no luck, I decided to give these traps a go.The boxes are secure (I bought the double pack pre-baited boxes) which was a big concern for me as we have cats and other wildlife that do visit. No problems there. The bait has no real odour and were installed already, in a clear plastic bag. (I decided on blocks rather than the pellet-type bait more out of safety for other creatures should any get spilt). For a while there was no impact; no bait taken and no change to the number of rats. I then moved the bait boxes elsewhere and quite soon there was a marked difference in the numbers being seen. YOU MUST LEAVE THE BAIT STATIONS ALONE IN A PLACE KNOWN TO BE A RAT RUN FOR THEM TO WORK - BE PATIENT! It took months for the rats to clear the bait blocks for us so place them on a busy rat run and leave them be. Problem solved for quite some time.We now have rats coming back from a different direction so Iโm going to buy the same brand bait and relocate the boxes ready for round two. The massive rats have long since been seen and now itโs little ones turning up so Iโm guessing itโs a new generation heading out on the hunt for a new home.As a tip and what I will be doing when my refill arrives- I did open the plastic bag covering the bait a bit and I also added in some cat treats to the box. Our local rats were brave and had been entering houses to take cat food so perhaps the bait needed a bit of a boost to compete against Sheba! Either way, after adding treats the bait station definitely was visited more and the poison taken quickly.I placed one trap next to the house in a corner where I store my gardening tools-I knew they ran this way as an escape route. The station to first be emptied was placed along a fence in the shadows directly on a rat run (smooth path along the fence compared to the surrounding soil) and I funnelled them toward the box with logs. Both boxes I weighed down with a brick on top; may not be needed but I wanted to be secure. Also look in grass for a flattened path along structures which is an indication itโs used a lot. Rats are smart and notice change so place the box and leave it alone for them to get used to it.Good luck and this product will no doubt help you

If only the neighbours were as easy to get rid of
I got new neighbours last year, who promptly built an enormous bird coop in their tiny back yard & filled it with at least 40 pigeons. They throw food on the ground morning & night & never clean. It stinks my garden out to the point where it's unpleasant to be out there & then I found I had a rat infestation such that I could go outside any time of the day & see 2 or 3 at once & hear more scurrying. I'm too scared of my neighbours to say anything ( I tried when they 1st moved the pigeons in, but was told in no uncertain terms to mind my own business). I should report them to the council, but they'll know it was me & I'm afraid of what revenge they'll take. So I bought these rat traps instead & they worked a treat! Found 7 dead in the garden in the last week. Haven't seen or heard a rat in days. They'll be back because the pigeons are still there, but I'll just buy more bait then.

Great
First time user. Easy to use highly effective. We didn't know we had rodents in the garden until we realised some had eaten the bait! We'd hears neighbours had rodents in the garden so only bought as a preventative measure. So grateful to this company for easy purchase that's easy to use!

A safe way to control vermin
The Roshield box provides a secure container for the poison blocks, making it very difficult for the rodent to remove the bait and greatly reducing the likelihood of a significant quantity of the poison being picked up by other animals, provided that the instructions are followed. A simple but effective locking system prevents the box from being opened by unauthorised persons or dogs. The red bait blocks are effective once the rodent has accepted the setup which can take a few days. I have always found this system to be effective against rats.I always continue to bait the box until no more is taken for a week, then check monthly. Rats are never far away and will revisit old runs in their constant search for food.I recommend this Roshield kit without any reservation. Unchecked rat populations are a serious threat to health.
