Immediately solved the issue of our laundry room smell. I followed the recommendation of some other reviews and snapped off the magnetic flapper to push the hose further down and ensure the water could make it through.

Actually it's a lot bigger than the hose that my washer drains into, so it only goes about 2/3 of the way in and doesn't sit flush with the top. However, it does seal off the top of the drain and the washer drain hose fits tight inside of it. So I have no blowback and no sewer fumes coming back through.

Our new washing machine was forcing out water too quickly and forcefully for our old pipes, causing it to spew back up. This item fixed our problem immediately. Super easy to use, easy to cute, fits nice and secure. Highly recommend if you're having a similar issue.

Item is as described. Did not resolve the problem as the ad suggested it would. Also sizing is hard to resolve. I measured OD of my standpipe and got the ID from a chart. Fit was loose. I got a reducing fitting and that helped with the fitment.

This item does not work properly and can malfunction. I installed this seal according to the video instructions on amazon, and the hose still popped out of the seal during a water flow and flooded my laundry room. This happened twice and is clear that once there is pressure from water flow it can force the hose out of the seal. It felt very tight when I placed the hose into it but it still didn't hold. Now I have water damage in my laundry room.

So easy to install. Yes it’s that easy. Like in a matter of seconds my washer hose issues were solved. It seals and holds the drain in place. You don’t need sealant. You don’t need anything else. You buy this, make sure the hose fits through and that’s it! For my hose, I only had to cut a little bit and it fit through. This has lasted me for months. I haven’t had any other washer issues (more importantly no more flooding!). The hose stays in place. It’s been staying in place. This gave me so much relief you don’t know. Best Buy I could’ve ever found.
