I have used this tape a few times before and although I think it isn't the best it isn't far off and it is good for what is is and at the price.What I like about it :1) It sticks to almost sticks to anything2) It is a lot cheaper than other tapes3) It is durable and does not come 'unstuck' even after a long period in use4) Unlike most other tapes it hand tears quite easily. so no knives or scissors neededI think a lot of the negative reviews are because, like any tape you need to apply it to a clean, dust free surface, no tape will stick to dirty surfaces.There are lots of similar tapes on the market these day and some are big names too and my experience has been "no one tape is ideal for everything" and because of that I keep 2 or 3 different makes of tapes handy but the others I would also only give 4 stars to as well as there are pros and cons for them all.I always try this tape first, because it is the cheapest and if it fails or is unsuccessful for some reason I move on to another make.The analogy I like to give is like trying to fix 2 pieces of wood together : first try glue, if that doesn't work, try nails and if that doesn't work use screws !Tape is very similar. so a good solid 4 stars for this tape.

Used duck tape for many years and was surprised to read quiet a few negative reviews as I'd always found it great in both professional use and home use.Gladly not disappointed with this latest roll either.I agree the tape is a little thinner than my last roll (3yrs old - was the big one), but it's retained it's strength, fabrics and materials improve over years and I'd say this is as strong as the old stuff.Still need to start the tear off, usually with a small bite on an edge, then t tears nicely in a straight line.It's really sticky, you have to work duct tape out to use it properly, keep it straight for as long as possible, because if it twists on itself and sticks togther, invariably you'll need a new peice (one of the manin moans in other reveiws - you need to use this stuff properly).I was enclosing some polyfoam to stop i being rubbed and getting damaged, so was applying to a surface that doesn't readily like sticky tapes, but it stuck really well asn as I did a double loop its vreated a great protective covering. I did the each loop in 3 sections, about 30cms long, long enough to keep straight, guide into the box and to the polyfoam separater without catching the strip on the sides, fixing on end on a corner, then using both hands to keep it tight and guide it onto ther separater in straight lines.Using this stuff needs a bit of patience, not to be rushed, as it will catch you out if you let it. Ths is the same for most good duct tapes, because once they've stuck, they're stuck..

This is not real duck tape it is barely sticky at all. Real duck tape is difficult to even get some off the roll, the glue is supposed to be thick and when you stick the glue sides together you normally cannot pull it apart. I touched the glue side with clean hands and then it had no stick left.This has got to be counter fit or if this is the real company you deserve to go bankrupt because £16 for 2 rolls of useless tape is not ok, I trusted a well known brand.I have Sellotape that is stronger then this.

Great tape, well packaged, perfect for the job, and cheaper than in stores near me.

Very disappointed with quality of this tape. Difficult to start roll off, then it string tears before you're ready. Not the Duck Tape I use to use. Poor quality. If this is the original brand id go back to the drawing board and address the quality of the product.
