New Balance Men's Fresh Foam X 880 V14 Running Shoe

Feet were killing me (12 shifts) was ready to retire and thought I’d try a new pair of shoes. I’ve worn 15D air cushion running shoes since the 80’s. I couldn’t find a 15E with the previous brand and did then buy these NB Fresh Foam 15E size. What a difference, foot pain gone, back pain gone! These puppies are a life saver, super soft cushioning Exactly what I was looking for! Oh, really light weight, like a pair of flip flops light.

Finally, I can find a pair of New Balance running shows in a narrow width for men. I have to start with sizing information. I wear a size 12 in Nike, Brooks and Asics running shoes so I ordered a 12 and the length is perfect. The challenge is that I have a narrow foot with a high arch so I find that Asics and Mizuno running shoes fit me really well, the "medium" New Balance are too wide so I was very happy to see the 1080 offered in a narrow. They do not disappoint. I think they're still a little on the medium side of width but vastly better for my foot. I really like the Fresh Foam cushioning, its really squishy and quite comfortable, they really cushion the pavement without being obscenely thick (like Hoka and the new Max soles by Brooks and Asics); I'd have to say that if you're looking for a comfortable and cushioned show these offer all that you could ask for. In terms of the upper, it ventilates well and the heel cup keeps your foot well secured. All this and I even like the color (guess the movie reference). The bottom line is that I am thrilled to finally find a pair of New Balance running shows that are genuinely narrow, they've been great all summer and I will definitely buy another pair!

Purchased for my husband. I’ve been wearing new balance shoes for a couple years now. We own a comic club and card store and spend 9-12 hours on a concrete floor. These shoes are great quality, solidly made. The style isn’t so great but better than orthopedic shoes ;). They offer great support during those long days that would normally leave you with pain from the toes up. They fit really well with a wider toe box than was expected but not big enough that it’s too much. Do have some issues when walking on wet floors, they can be a little slippery.

My husband loves these! He has a horrible back. These have just the right amount of cushion and has the support where he needs it. We will be purchasing more of these before they are no longer made, because that’s what happens when you find a shoe you really love…you can’t find it when you need another pair. I highly recommend these, especially if you have lower back issue and want to get that good workout in. Walking is perfect in them, they made well, and they look really nice so if you need to wear them with dockers or something they will sill look nice.

Loving these v14. I tried, 15 pairs maybe between version 11-13 and they simply do not fit right. They got smaller, the heel lock wasnt there, they were unstable etc. they just weren't 880s imo. These new v14 is finally back to being a wider, more stable platform. My only concern is the heel of the sole, I can see it becoming compressed over time causing the wrinkles. Also on that same spot, there are "traction pads" glued to the sole. These pads, on any shoe, when placed on a curving surface, will typically come unglued and eventually rip off. You are then left with a weird empty mold where the pad once was. Hopefully, new balance used some killer glue on these pads and they don't peel off, but I forsee that being the main reason people have to replace the show. In conclusion, back to the comfort of the older styles, but potentially less durability with the heel of the sole being configured how it is.

I've been exclusively running in NB 880s for a long time now. For me, they are outstanding. I was able to get this pair cheaper with Ecom Elite Deals through Amazon then I could on the NB website.

I just went to Japan and walked 100 miles in 9 days. I only brought the shoes. They were so comfortable. The size fits my wide large feet perfectly. Great for trails or concrete sidewalks. Look great too. No blisters or sore spots. Best shoes I’ve ever owned.

Product size is normal width (size D), which is perfect for me, since NB SG only brings in wide width (size 2E) for some reason. I have worn both 880v12 and 880v13 before and feel that the 880v13 feels a bit off for some reason. The 880v12 was comfy and stable for me, while the sole for 880v13 feels harder, the heel cushion around the ankle was also stiffer yet offering less heel lock stability. Thankfully, the 880v14 feels similar to the 880v12, offering the same comfort and stability.

The fit is perfect.
