Has anyone tried using this with a different brand of alcohol inks? did it work? i bought brea reese inks , but could not find white!

Yes I use it with brea....Ranger and let's resin inks. Works great

Middle white or bottom white? some brands make a distinction regarding how fast the white paint sinks into the resin

This is the best sinking white, and I’ve tried them all. To answer your question it depends how much you use and if it’s shaken up enough. If the heavy pigment particularly settle and don’t come out you won’t get a good sink. Also thickness of your resin, pigment load of your ink, working time, is it freshly mixed or has it been sitting a bit, and temperature in the room can all play a role.

are these ink compatible with permanent marker ink (sharpies)?

Yes, most of the colors are. In fact some say that you can make your own alcohol inks using sharpies. The white, however, is not. It’s a heavier medium than the other colors.
