Stronger than grocery store McCormick's vanilla; nice flavor
This vanilla tasted a little bitter out of the bottle but lends a wonderful, bitter-free taste of vanilla in smoothies or baking. Easy to use bottle, no leaks, very concentrated. I will use this in a variety of baking and cooking. I will definitely buy this again. Price is right.

Trusted brand and good value
Of course I canโt say it is a good as pure vanilla but it is a great value and good for cooking especially. Itโs quite a big bottle too. Itโs a deep brown like any vanilla extract. I trust McCormick as a brand. The top with the cap works very well and you do get vanilla flavor. I put 3 short spurts into a very large smoothie for two and the vanilla flavor was overpowering. So it has a kick, lol. For what it is, I give it 5 stars.

Simply Vanilla
As a baker, I often buy this product. The price is great for the value. It smells awesome and it adds great flavor to my deserts.

This is a huge bottle! And a great price.
I love to bake and have always used real vanilla. But with soaring prices of food I can't afford it anymore. ๐ซ I was thrilled to see this gigantic bottle of McCormicks vanilla. The taste and aroma are very nice. I baked my special chocolate cake and it was DELICIOUS ๐. It's fabulous in chocolate chip cookies or anything else you would need vanilla for. And it is quite potent you don't have to add more than the recipe calls for. I'm a new and faithful customer now.. And if you bake like I do the bottle will have to be replaced soon ๐... The price is very pocket book friendly. If only the eggs and butter would be so affordable ๐. I will buy this McCormick Vanilla from now on.. it's a great replacement for real vanilla. And tastes just as good. Happy Baking ๐

Not bad definitely budget friendly
It's not as good as real vanilla but it works and is less expensive.

No Alcohol Please :)
Doesn't like vanilla with alcohol so I love these bottles. They smell good too. I have bought many of these so as long as the product doesn't change I will continue to but these.

However much I like the "real" vanilla extract
I have to say that I was not impressed when I opened the bottle when it first arrived and took a whiff. To me, it did not resemble the odor of vanilla extract , at all. I have well over 40 years experience cooking and baking and have done my homework when it comes to vanilla. However much I like the "real" vanilla extract, the price has become over-whelming recently in light of how much I use it day to day. I prefer Massey Vanilla Bean Paste for custards, and a good true vanilla flavor. In my reading, I found the articles referring to how many bakers use imitation vanilla in baking as the flavor bakes out of real vanilla, so why waste the bucks? I was out of my favorite paste when I made tapioca pudding and I used some of this product...baaaad! Did not have any vanilla flavor. I found I had some cheapo real vanilla extract and added that and BINGO, fabulous vanilla flavor!! Maybe a bit of this one could extend the real thing..hmmm?? I just baked Lemon Bars and used this product alone in the shortbread crust, was fabulous! So great for baking as intended!

The same stuff as in the store!
Taking a look at a physical grocery store's price for artificial "imitation" vanilla, it's wild. My local store wants over $5 per ounce! But you can get the exact same stuff in bulk for much cheaper online. Check below for information on imitation vs. natural vanilla extract! This artificial vanilla extract tastes the same as the in-store McCormick imitation vanilla, but is a whole lot cheaper. I paid about $9 for my bottle in 2023, and I'm still using it. I bake about once or twice a week, and most of my recipes use vanilla. The difference between artificial and natural vanilla extract is important. Imitation vanilla is still the vanilla molecule, just made using science. But it doesn't have the extra advanced floral notes and flavor of vanilla from the plant. This makes it seem like natural vanilla would be better for everything, but that's incorrect! Why? Because artificial vanilla is stronger, and it survives heat, such as an oven. Natural vanilla will evaporate when exposed to heat, reducing its flavor by a lot. But if you are making something that doesn't get exposed to heat, natural vanilla is better. Baked goods = Artificial vanilla Non-baked goods = Natural vanilla
