800mm handheld device
Perhaps just the perfect lens for handheld shooting with super reach! Two issues though - focus ring is in an odd place, far from the lens holding position; price is too steep. $1500 should be around the right price.

Awesome lens
Great lens. At 2kg it’s 1kg lighter than my previous sigma 60-600 which is nice on longer shoots while hiking around. The image stabilization is fantastic with its 5.5 stops. Amazing for video also. Very sharp and not bad at all at f9 wide open on the long end. Of course iso will have to be pretty high in lower light conditions but the newer bodies can handle it no problem anyway. Light rain is ok but not fully sealed like a L lens. Not a big fan of the custom/focus ring location but it’s fine. Been mainly using for wildlife in Hokkaido. The reach is amazing. I wrapped mine with snow camo from Ali express. Highly recommended.

Can be used Hand Held
Can be used hand held. On my Canon R7 it becomes a 300-1200mm. So it does not focus to objects close up
