These Govee Christmas Lights are hands down the best holiday lights I’ve ever bought. They’re so cool! Each light can be a different color, and you can pick from millions of options. The way the lights flow and change colors is honestly so pretty. I’ve used them on my Christmas tree, my patio, and even some plants inside, and they always look amazing. There are tons of presets—like over 125 different modes—so no matter what vibe you’re going for, there’s something that works. I’ve used them for Christmas, parties, and even just for fun, and they make everything feel more festive. The music sync feature is probably my favorite, though. The lights actually move to the beat of the music, which makes them perfect for parties or just dancing around the house. They’re also super durable. They’re waterproof, can handle the cold, and are flexible enough to wrap around anything. I don’t have to worry about them breaking or not holding up outdoors, which is a big deal. Another cool thing is the DIY options. You can create your own effects or even upload a picture or text to inspire a new look. It’s super easy to use, and you can make something totally unique without spending a ton of time. Honestly, these lights are just awesome. They’ve made decorating so much more fun, and I know I’ll be using them for way more than just Christmas. If you’re thinking about upgrading your lights, these are totally worth it!

This was our second Govee purchase, after the permanent outdoor lights we installed. We were looking for something that would easily go on the tree, instead of stringing up multiple strings that never seemed to go even around the tree. Install is super easy; you just connect the extender and halo to the top of the tree with some zip ties, undo the three mesh strands, and work the light mesh out until it's draped over the tree. We did notice a bit of uneveness based on the shape of the tree, but nothing outrageous. We did have to move the stand bottoms inside the tree collar so they weren't as enticing to the cats. With the app, which is super easy to connect to and use, you can do all kinds of different designs. There are preset patterns, fun designs like a Christmas tree circling around the tree, or ones that other people have uploaded. You can even design your own pattern and design if you want! You can also set schedules for when you want the lights to on and off. The lights themselves have a vibrant color, and at maximum brightness, are REALLY bright! We had to set the brightness lower (in the app!) so they weren't quite so overwhelming. When Christmas is over, taking it off the tree is almost as easy as installing it, but with a little more caution when taking it off so you don't accidentally break any wires caught on a branch. I didn't have any trouble getting the three strands back together, and was even able to get it back in the box with only a little bulge!

Setup was significantly easier than fighting with my old strings of lights we used previously. I wanted something that was fun for the kids and easier for me. This product, is both. And the quality is pretty great so far. No problems at all. I already have another Govee product, so getting the lights connected and going only took a few seconds. The instructions said to place the disc higher on the tree than I preferred. So, I tied it down about 4 inches or so lower, then used a few extra branches to wrap around the disc to hide it, which works great and you can barely see it now. Once the disc is on, it took maybe 2 minutes to untie the strands and spread them out. I didnt have any tangled strands to deal with, which was fantastic! I will say, the green strands are pretty obvious and don't blend in very well when the lights are off. We have a black tree, and the cords are green, so that might be a factor. But!... when the lights are on, its not so obvious and we have the lights on all the time so its not a big deal for us. The app (which is pretty much used as the remote control) is easy to use and after playing with it for a few minutes and learning all of the options, the kids were ready to get on and make their own custom light creations. We've settled on the red and white rotating scene that my daughter made because it matches the ornaments. They like taking turns putting on their own light choices. There are even game settings on the lights to play and interact with which was surprising, yet awesome for the kids to have fun with. I have already sent the link to my friend because she wants one now also.

I used to buy pre lit trees and add all the Christmas ornaments, after buying these lights I stopped because nothing else got close. I started to buy real trees and adding these lights and the results were gorgeous, the lights are super bright, with the living room lights off and the tree on the white color the room looks fully lit. The app is great, it works over Wi-Fi and the connection is as strong as your Wi-Fi. You can change colors create your own patterns and have multiple predesign ones that even reacts to sound. You can also set it up on a timer or on a schedule to go off after you go to sleep and go on when it gets dark. Once the season is over, I don't have to break down a fake tree any longer, I save space on the shed, and I can keep using it every year without it feeling old.

Easy to set up, good quality. It looks really good when it's dark. During the day time the wires are visible. I like the different patterns, the light is bright.

This is absolutely amazing! One thing I will say, is make sure you are starting at the top ring and careful bringing down the lights in sections all the way down. When I say this I mean make sure the lights are not going to the left or right of where they are coming down from the ring or the picture will not come out right, it’s not the lights, it’s the user lol. Also make sure you center your tree in your profile settings menu if you want them to look right also. This tree has so many cool features and it has work flawlessly. I will say I am having problems getting all the color options and things you can do but for the meanwhile there is a section that you can watch other ppls designs and if you like them you can save them and play it on your own tree! That’s what I have done so far while I am learning how to make my own. As for the durability, I would say so far it’s pretty good, it holding its own up to 7 cats and 3 dogs! I personally love how my tree looks to the point we are going to but another one for our side and do a pole tree with it. Another wonderful thing about it is it’s holiday versatility, it has Things for all the season like hearts for Valentine’s Day, eggs for Easter, you could leave it up as a tree and display the seasons/holidays on it.

PRO: Easy setup. Seamless installation on the app. CON: Nothing yet We already had a couple of Govee For Lamps and love them. Then we got the string lights for our front porch, again.. awesome product. So I decided to try their Xmas lights. Soo much easier to setup than regular tree lights. And the variety of scenes/effects available is impressive and fun. Been a while since we've found something that works so well. The app is easy to setup and use as well. These are very bright and colorful, very customizable. We've shown them to friends who've ordered their own.
