UBIQUITI UNIFI Flex MINI 2.5G 5-Port Switch

Great switch that integrated with the rest of my Ubiquiti network. Reports correctly, VLAN assignments are just as easy as my enterprise stuff and I do get the full 2.5Mbps performance between devices even over long runs of Cat5e and powered by one of my PoE+ Enterprise switches. They're just really hard to get right now and Ubiquiti charges stupid shipping for them so they're not worth purchasing directly from them for what they are. Even with the markup by some Amazon sellers they end up cheaper than buying direct and paying shipping.

Fast, Cheap, Affordable and that awesome Ubiquiti integrated experience. I purchased this, my Dream Machine Pro saw it, I imported it and away I was going with a 2.5gbit ports. I use a 10gbE SFP on my dream machine to connect to this for 2.5gb from Dream Machine controller to switch. I have 2 ports on this switch combined to do 5gbit to my NAS in bonded ports and it works great. Connectivity has been flawless. This puts out a *lot* less heat than some of the prior generation switches and the power supply is a simple USB C power supply. These are so small and portable they work great for adding switches behind media centers or rooms to act as smart switches where you don't want to rely on Wifi signals or acting as an extender for remote Wifi endpoints. No POE, so you need the POE injector if you use this for wifi edge.

Works beautifully with Unifi Dream Router

Received the Ubiquiti Flex Mini 2.5G (USW-Flex-2.5G-5) earlier than expected. Setup was quick — it appeared instantly in the UniFi controller and adopted without issues. The switch is very compact, silent, and well built, and having five 2.5GbE ports in such a small device is great for modern home networks. It can also be powered via PoE input or USB-C, which makes installation very convenient. So far it has been stable and running flawlessly. Highly recommended if you need an easy way to add multiple 2.5G ports to a UniFi network.

Great little switch that can be managed using the UniFi network app. The only caveat is that if you purchase from an unauthorized retailer, the UniFi warranty will not be honored, so use Amazon's instead.

I transfer large files between computers, and at 1gb it seems really slow. so when I found this as a direct replacement for my 1gb flex switch, it was an easy buy. its small and is solid, looking good like all unifi equipment. it adopted into my network easily, not compatibility issues at all.

Good, solid design. Uses USB-C power, which is another design plus. No issues with 2.5Gbps devices and adapters this far. Well made.

Managed 2.5Gb ethernet switch ideal for VLANs and powered by PoE.

I bought the UniFi Flex Mini 2.5G because I needed a small switch to add a few faster wired connections without taking up much space. So far it has been exactly what I wanted. It is compact, clean-looking, and easy to tuck behind a desk or media cabinet. Setup was simple in the UniFi app/controller, and it adopted without any issues. The 2.5G ports are the main reason I picked this over the regular Flex Mini, especially for a desktop, NAS, access point, or any device where gigabit is starting to feel limiting. I also like that it can be powered by PoE or USB-C, which makes placement a lot more flexible. Performance has been solid for my use. I have not had any random disconnects or weird behavior, and it runs quietly since there is no fan. It does get slightly warm, but nothing concerning. The only thing to keep in mind is that this is still a small switch, so it is not meant to replace a larger rack switch or anything with a lot of advanced features. But for adding a few 2.5G ports in a UniFi network, it is a great value and very convenient. Overall, I’m happy with it and would buy another one if I needed more small 2.5G drops around the house.
