If you regularly assemble furniture, storage cabinets, bookshelves, or other screw-heavy projects, this tool is well worth considering. ⸻ Full Review: We originally purchased this screwdriver to help with furniture assembly after realizing how much strain repeated screw driving was putting on our hands and wrists. Prior to using powered tools, we completed several projects manually and eventually reached the point where my husband’s hand temporarily locked up from the amount of repetitive turning required. This DEWALT screwdriver made an immediate difference. Assembly became faster, less physically demanding, and much more comfortable. Since purchasing it, we have used it on numerous household projects including multiple rotating bookshelves, storage organizers, cabinets, and other furniture builds. One of the projects that really highlighted its value involved assembling several rotating bookshelves. One assembly stage alone required 96 screws per unit. Prior to using powered tools, we had completed furniture assembly manually and eventually reached the point where my husband’s hand temporarily locked up from the repetitive motion. What had previously caused noticeable hand and wrist fatigue became much more manageable with this tool. The screwdriver feels comfortable in hand, and the gyro control becomes intuitive after a short learning period. Once we became familiar with the controls, it quickly became one of our favorite assembly tools. ⸻ 🛠️ Tool Experience: There is a brief adjustment period while learning how the gyro control responds to wrist movement, especially when working in tighter spaces or around delicate materials. Battery performance has been consistently reliable throughout our projects. In our experience, we generally see approximately 60 to 120 minutes of intermittent assembly use per charge depending on the project and workload. Recharge times have typically been around an hour, allowing us to get back to projects fairly quickly. On one particularly busy furniture assembly day, a single screwdriver completed five full furniture builds plus part of another before requiring a recharge. Based on our experience, I would absolutely purchase this again and have already done so by purchasing a second unit. I tried to include the information I personally would have wanted before purchasing, particularly regarding battery life, comfort, learning curve, and real-world furniture assembly performance.

What a great cordless driver that can easily pull an electrical panel cover and assemble products. It's light, rigid and easy to turn with my fingers to start a screw and then drive it, woth or without the motor. I still can't believe I had to turn the torque down. This is a very powerful for its size. The light is perfect and concealed nicely. I finally have a good driver I'm also not worried about being nabbed. At this price point it's very accessible and replaceable. All it needs is solid ratcheting mechanism and it would be perfect. 5 stars for a fantastic compact impact driver that's almost as small as my largest manual driver. Please don't mess this driver up in the future lol

Two carpal tunnel surgeries and two shoulder surgeries left me with limited mobility. This tool is great and helps me continue to work on projects. One handed operation and power to do simple tasks keeps me in line and stops me from doing anything crazy. Not meant for driving deck screws or anything similar. Great for what is was intended. Can still do small things around the house and keep my wife happy.

We’ve endured manual screwdrivers for decades, and finally decided to try a powered screwdriver. WOW… changed our home-maintenance life. First day… We removed, cleaned, and replaced a half-dozen HVAC vent covers on our ceilings in a tenth of the time it took to do that task before. That was possible by tool’s ability to quickly unscrew, and later replace the units. We both learned its function within a few minutes, and my wife just LOVEs it. ANY job that requires removing and replacing 2” or more screws will make you a fan. We will soon be installing curtain rods on new “hurricane” impact windows, and know that this tool will make it easier. Dewalt’s reputation is for good reason: their tools work and are backed up.

This driver surprisingly has a good amount of torque. primary use for me is for my RC hobby. i had to do a few repairs after some spills i took. and everything i had to take apart came apart and back together with ease. the collar you use to activate, reverse and manually screw drive is shockingly easy to use. at first i thought it would be strange but it feels comfortable. the only complaint i have about this drive is the grommet that covers the charge port does not go back in and cover it very well at all. the entire time i was using it the cover kept popping out and bugging me. comes with decent common use bits. it also has a great form factor fitting nicely in my hobby toolbox.

Absolute lifesaver. Yes, I have drills, many drills and electric screwdrivers of many different sizes, but this is the first straight one. All my others are pistol grip. Needed something without the right angle grip, and this was the ticket. It's not the fastest, but it gets the job done. I think if it was any faster it might get away from you if you are not careful. Has plenty of torque and once it stops you can just give a quick flip of the wrist to finish off tightening the screw. Battery lasts for days on end. Its built like a tank and takes a beating/dropping/whacking like hammer as your would expect from a DeWalt. Well with the money!

Great device, the narrow design lets it get into places where a normal screwdriver can get into. Highly recommend for assembling furniture.

TL;DR For medium-to-light jobs, this is great. I can recommend purchasing. I tested several brands and this one came out on top for me. It made short work of changing out all the doorknobs in my home. But I wouldn't recommend for extended use, as the ergonomics aren't perfect, fatigue will set in fairly quickly. PROS + Quality and built tough. (What you expect from DeWALT) + Comes with several bits + Looks nice. + Charging port is the more modern USB-C type + Without a pistol grip, it takes up a smaller space in my toolbox CONS - A bit heavy and bulky for more than 1 hour of continuous use, causes fatigue. - I would not recommend this for small hands, there are pistol grip styles that are more suited. - No case for drill, cable and bits, but bits do have a nice rubber organizer at least - The interface to engage and disengage is not easily controlled, takes getting used to. It's inconvenient to hold on to the device and also push up on the collar. A thumb interface would have been better.

An excellent screwdriver for what it is, it doesn't have a big torque setting, but it doesn't claim to. The Dewalt screwdriver is ideal for all jobs involving timber and most wall fixings, it will only struggle with the biggest of screws and tightest of holes, because of the round shape I would imagine it's probably a safety issue, as you don't have the leverage as you would with a handle. The grip and speed is excellent , the lights on all sides of the bit are a big attribute along with several torque settings, and once you get the hang of the push trigger it soon becomes a welcome addition to the tool box.
