It’s a smaller knife for sure. But I was looking for something smaller. This knife feels like quality in your hand with the nice hefty weight of brass and wood. But not uncomfortable in the pocket at all. Smooth opening, and very sharp both blade and tip. Beautiful to look at and fully functional for most daily tasks expected of a pocket knife.

=Update= Ok, so it's been a bit more than 90 days, but I come with good news. This knife is solid! It's been my work knife since the day I got it and I use it a LOT. Zipties, ceiling tiles, cardboard, drywall, name it. This thing melts! It's easily one of the best knives I've owned. The belly on the blade gives it so much range. The lock makes it a one hand wonder. So easy to carry, too. It sits deep in my pocket next to my arkpro ultra, both always there when I need them, which is often. Very very happy with this knife. I would give it a 6th star if I could. =Original= I only just got the knife 2 seconds ago, but the initial feel is very good. Feels solid, well built, and grippy. Also, it is a gorgeous knife. I'll have to be very stingy with it at work, that's for sure. It cuts very nicely (tried on a few bottles, bags, and boxes), and looks like it'll hold it's edge well over time. I will revisit this review after 90 days or if anything goes critically wrong. I'm getting married in January '26 and I'll need to get 8 more of these for my groomsmen, though I'll be getting them the wood scale Damascus blade version. All my guys are construction/engineer guys, so a good knife is probably the most thoughtful thing I could give them. Maybe they'll even show up for the wedding!

I think the yonder is a great value knife and will fit most if not all cutting jobs. This is the second yonder I have purchased now. About a year ago I bought the green handled Micarta version and had it for several months. That yonder came with a very gritty axis lock and I had to disassemble the knife to spend the springs in order to fix the action. That definitely didn’t help in my overall impression of the knife initially. Civivi is a very solid brand that puts out quality knives for all budgets however, so I took that into perspective and realized that I may have just received a lemon. That nitpick out of the way, why did I buy a second yonder you may ask? Well, the yonder is just simply a joy to use and carry. I have knives ranging in price from 10$-200$ Spyderco, benchmade, Kershaw other Civivi etc. despite having so many other knives the yonder stood out for a few reasons. Firstly the design is great, the handle is a nice coffin shape that fits the hand well no matter the grip on the knife. The pocket clip is a nice short clip that slides in and out of pocket very well. The clip is reminiscent of the benchmade bugout clip which is a fantastic well loved pocket clip. Due to the knife’s smaller size I found it easy to carry daily. It leaves room at the bottom of my pants pockets for other things. The blade is where this thing really shines. It’s very thin with a high flat grind, geometry cuts and this knife even when dulling will still go the distance just because of how thin it is. I think the 14c28n blade steel was an excellent choice as well. It’s a tough steel so it’ll help such a thin knife, that steel also takes one of the stickiest sharp edges I have ever put on a blade. The yonder is a great purchase and I think Zac really nailed the design. If you’re on the fence, don’t be buy the knife. Zac is a great guy and got me into knives when I used to watch him on blade hq back in the day. I highly recommend checking is YouTube out. I will be buying his over yonder design when it releases later this year.

This is a great little every day Carry pocket knife. I find that it fits great in my hand. I can easily fit three fingers on the main area, and my pinky sits on the angled rear portion of the handle.. The black G 10 scales feel great in the hand and while the blade stock is quite thin, the handle itself is a bit chunkier, which I actually like as it tends to fill out the hand and provides a good amount of grip. Now back to the blade, I really like the look of this, as it has a more traditional looking blade style. I’ve seen some people calling this a reverse tanto or modified sheep’s foot, but this is essentially an oversized spat such as you would see on a trapper knife. It cuts very well, having arrived very sharp out of the box as usual for this brand. The crossbar lock works well, however the one ding that I give it it’s that the detent at least on my version seems to be way too loose. I can literally just flick the knife with my hand without touching the crossbar lock and the blade will deploy. Essentially it opens and closes too easily and that is one area where I find myself just a bit nervous with it sitting in my pocket. I wonder if whether or not it’s just gonna open from jostling around. Having dropped this knife once or twice I can say that both times the blade deployed. I took the scales off, but there’s no way to easily adjust the spring as it does not have adjustable tension like many of Kizer‘s. I could play with the springs, but I’m not gonna do that. I haven’t really seen too many other people that have this issue so it’s probably just a one off, but it’s something to look out for. I don’t carry this in my pocket instead I keep this knife in one of my man bags in a little pouch along with the other tools that I carry in there. I wouldn’t let this dissuade you from purchasing since as I’ve said I have not encountered anybody else who is really had this problem but it’s an absolutely great every day Carry blade. The 14 C 28 and Blade steel is one of my favorites as it’s relatively easy to touch up and it’s very sharp very tough blade steel. Another good knife from Civivi.

It's pretty clear from the reviews that this knife is not for everyone. For me, it's perfect for the things I do daily around the house like cutting boxes, opening plastic wrappings, ripping into rags, etc. It feels pretty sturdy for light to medium tasks like these as the knife is very sharp and easy to handle. I love the quality and feel of the black burlap handle; more on the smooth side than grippy, but definitely textured. The feature that stood out most was the location of the clip and length; level with the rear of the knife and short. Carrying it is very discrete from and pocket, front or back .

This is my first Civivi knife. I got it because I was looking for a mid-sized folder with good steel, for an ultralight hiking and backpacking option. The Yonder meets or exceeds all expectations. It is most definitely ultralight, yet still manages to feel great in the hand. The action of the blade is very smooth and feels precise. In fact the overall construction seems pretty amazing given the price point, TBH. Overall I'm impressed. I'll say bravo on making the clip reversible, as I prefer it on the outside face while in use. I love the nicely-finished micarta case -- it looks and feels great in the dark green. In case there's a 2.0 version, just a small handful of wishlist items: 1) I'd vote for a blade with a little beefier spine, at the expense of making the knife overall just a bit heavier. The blade is quite thin and would not likely hold-up under heavier, bushcraft types of use cases. 2) It'd be great to have some jimping out toward the point of the blade. 3) Give the case panels just a bit more of a swell -- again at the expense of a bit more weight -- to allow for a more firm grip. Other than those small things I might change, it's immediately one of the nicest knives in my collection and will absolutely see lots of use. Quick Update: I've been learning to do the quick/"spidey flick" blade deployment with my folding knives, and have found the Yonder to be the hardest one to do. I've managed to get it consistently, now, but -- in case it's worth mentioning -- I find the knife to be the least "fidget-friendly" of those I own, so far.

Excellent every day carry! Very sharp! Easy to open and close, great knife even when compared to those cost 3-4x more

First off, I got the Yonder in dark green and let me tell you this knife looks great. The feel of the knife is also great with the Micarta handles and the jimping on the top. It feels very secure in the hand even with its smaller size. The Crossbar lock mechanism feels rock solid and is silky smooth opening and closing, allowing for easy one hand operation. There’s also zero wiggle between the blade and handle. The knife is light weight yet still somehow feels substantial in the hand. Civivi put out a great knife with the Yonder and I can see why it won Best Buy of the year. It has quickly become my go to EDC knife. For its price point it’s hard to beat. I honestly can’t find anything bad to say about it. It even comes in a nice case with some stickers and other swag. If your thinking about this knife just buy it, you won’t be disappointed!

Un buen diseño, la cuchilla es buena y con filo suficiente. El mango un poco pequeño. Pero en general acupa buen espacio en el bolsillo. Buena conservación.
