Worth the plus version
A great upgrade to the Go. Aeropress coffee is great and easy to make in the move. The included mug is a great addition as is paper storage. Quick and easy to use and clean. A bit pricey though and you can’t store the device in the mug with the lid on. But a great product nevertheless.

Shame about the cup
Great Coffee maker. Really does make a clean and tasty coffee. Very simple to use, clean and stores very nicely in the provided travel tumbler. Will definitely help transporting at the bottom of a bag. That is its only use. The 'travel' tumbler is an afterthought. The lid has a screw thread indicating it would screw on to the top of the mug. Nope. That has nothing to secure the lid to the cup. There is no gasket to seal the liquid inside of the 'travel' tumbler. If this was sorted becoming more portable it would have gotten the full 5 stars.

All you need for coffee on the go
To start with, the Aeropress makes great coffee. I bought this to take camping with me, as nothing starts the day better than a good coffee. It is easy to use and clean. I am impressed with the thought that has gone into the design so that the Aeropress fits neatly into the travel mug, that includes a filter holder in the base. If I did have one small criticism, it would be that the whole package seems a little heavy.

Instant brewed coffee
The Aeropress makes it so easy to produce a fresh brew coffee, with the following provisos: 1. Make sure the grind is not too fine, as if is the water will just go straight through. The difficulty when buying ground coffee is that there is no agreed grind value, it is a bit of a lottery. 2. I use the metal filter (which is an additional product), but that simplifies the cleaning and reduces the need to buy filter papers. 3, Don’t be put off by the first pour starting to go through into the cup, keep pouring till the water level is at the top of the tube, then put in the plunger and push. 4. Taste - depends on the type of coffee you buy, but it is smooth and very tasty. 5. The coffee mug that you get, the lid looks as though it screws on - it doesn’t, it just slides on and off. 6. The only other thing is using the stirrer that you get - use it before you put the plunger on, it will add to the flavour of your cup of coffee. I love the design and simplicity of use, and the cup of coffee I get each morning.

Not worth the money
ery expensive for what it is, and I found there were a number of issues with its practicality. Large and bulky: It takes up quite a lot of space in a bag. While the AeroPress itself can be stored inside the cup when not in use, once you’re using the cup, you then have to find somewhere to store all the separate parts, which I found quite inconvenient. Travel cup: The cup itself is quite large and probably too big to fit comfortably in a standard car cup holder. More importantly, the lid is definitely not leak-proof, so I wouldn’t feel comfortable carrying a filled cup around in a bag or while travelling. I also didn’t find that the coffee was noticeably better than what I get from a much cheaper cafetière. You could buy a cafetière and a decent travel cup separately for considerably less. I’m usually someone who loves a gadget, and I was genuinely excited to try this. I really wanted to love it, but unfortunately I found it impractical for my needs and ended up returning it.

Perfect for the camper van
Reliably makes good coffee and is much easier to clean than the espresso pot I used to use in the camper van.

The AeroPress Gives You what you are Paying for, no more and no less
My wife and I bought the AeroPress Go because we were travelling to see relatives and they did not drink coffee. We needed something good but portable and the AeroPress fit the bill. We selected AeroPress Go simply because it made more coffee than the other models (16 oz). I would pay attention to how much each model makes if that is a concern for you. Other than that, there really isn’t a manual. You get a QR code which connects you to their website and has a video on how to assemble and make the coffee. The video is OK, not great. But that is about all you can expect these days. The unit is very compact and once you figure out how all the parts go together, really simple to put together. The great thing about the AeroPress is that it can be disassembled and it fits inside the coffee thermos provided. There really isn’t much to complain about. IMHO, it is essentially a portable French press that is fairly rugged as well. If you like French press coffee, you will probably like the AeroPress. I’d recommend getting the metal filter because you might run out of paper filters and it’s not like you can run to the store and get filters for the machine. I’d also recommend getting a manual grinder and grinding your coffee. Pre-ground coffee simply isn’t that good. I will probably be getting a small portable grinder in the future. At home, I grind the bean just before brewing and it does make a difference. Other than that, you get exactly what you are paying for which is why I gave it 5 stars.
