I LOVE this watch. I've been a huge fan of jump-hour watches for many years but they can be very difficult to find, especially ones that aren't too expensive. The price for this watch was great since many other jump-hours can be well over $200 bucks. It keeps time wonderfully thanks to the built-in automatic winder. If I haven't worn it for a few days the time does need to be reset and the winder manually wound. That takes just a few seconds so I don't mind at all. Obviously I wouldn't have to do that if it had a battery, but I really don't mind at all. The transparent back and underlying skeleton is yet another unique aspect to this watch I quite like. I get compliments about how unique and nice looking the watch is all the time. Many people have never seen a jump-hour watch where the faces move instead of the hands. People typically want to know how expensive it was and never expect to hear that it was roughly $150. Often I'm told that they expected to hear it was $300 or more. So naturally the price tag is a another great aspect of the watch overall. If I had to find a negative aspect of the watch I'd say I didn't really like the original strap that came with. However, replacing it with the metal one from my pictures was easy and inexpensive. All I had to do was go to one of those places in the mall where they were able to make switch in less than a half hour. I believe that swapping the original for my metal strap cost less than $10, and probably closer to $5 but I can't quite remember exactly. All in all, if you're also a fan of jump-hour watches this is a great one. If you've never had a jump-hour this is also a great way to start your collection. And even if you're not really a big fan of jump-hours and just want a unique-looking watch that others will be curious about, this is a pretty great watch overall! I promise that you'll love it too!

UPDATE (may-2026): I didn't wear this watch very often, but whenever I did, I started noticing that it was running slow. It kept getting worse—first a few seconds a day, then minutes, and finally, it fell behind by 3 hours over a 15-hour period while on my wrist. Ultimately, it turned out to be a defective product, which is why I am lowering my rating from 4 stars to 1. It has a very strange design that was difficult for me to resist. Without a doubt, something that attracts attention. The precision of the mechanism is very good despite being Chinese; Since it does not have a second hand, it is difficult to measure it, but after 2 months without letting it stop I can tell you that it is just one minute behind (-1s per day). The only bad thing is the quality of the upper hull, which already has some scratches on the metal, but nothing that can't be solved with a polish. And reading it is not difficult, you just have to get used to it a little.

Very cool time piece. Great conversation starter. Quality build. Very accurate and easy to set. Would be 5 stars, however, the crown has popped out on its own and left me timeless once. Otherwise, very pleased especially for the catching sale under $150! Definitely would recommend this watch.

First, i don't like a big huge watch strapped to my wrist, exactly why i love this watch, i also love the industrial retro design. Super easy to read and understand, super easy set-up as well. Lots of nice not overdone details, i think minimalists will pick-up on this too. Nice black leather band. This is my 1st stauer and so glad for it, very nice high quality watch with heirloom quality if you ask me. As i write this you can get your stauer at 1/2 price. If your into normal size watch w/automatic movement then this one is for you. Also has a nice heavy quality feel to it, can't say enough good. Ladies should consider this unique piece of art as well. Did i mention the window on the back revealing the automatic movement? Get this now! You WILL love it, thank you....

If I could rate the looks only — it would be 5 stars! Although it is a little smaller than it could be, making it harder for the eyes to quickly read the time, the aesthetics are spot on! It could be scaled up and be perfect in that aspect. However — the watch does not seem to keep time. You can wind it until you feel resistance, and it seems to have issues keeping time. I have a watch storage box with 12 watches in it. This is the only watch that seems to have the wrong time consistently. Within a 24 hour period, it will be off by several hours. I would love to hear from the manufacturer to see if I have gotten one that’s a bit of a runt?

Arrived well packaged and on time. The product does exactly as described. It keeps perfect time and still, being an automatic movement keeps going overnight when not being worn. The quality of manufacture is extremely good, and so far I have no trouble with it at all. The strap is a good imitation alligator leather, and would fit all but the abnormally wrists. I have no regrets in having bought it. Stater as a company are pleasant and fair to deal with and their products very good value for money.

Beautiful looking watch. Has Art deco looks and design which was major in my selection. It is a conversation starter for sure. Only downside is that the red-on-white numbers (i.e. the minutes) are a bit hard to read for older eyes (without glasses!).
