CarexDay-Light Elite Bright Light Therapy Lamp, 10,000 LUX Daylight Lamp at 12 Inches

This thing is ridiculously bright. If you wake up drowsy, or think "let me sleep another 30min." do yourself a favor and get this lamp. Even if you wake up tired, after this thing is at your face for 10 minutes you will be fully awake. You won't even care about sleeping again. You will be ready to go about your day. It gets your circadian rhythm going at the right direction and in the evening you will naturally get sleepy, take that train and do the sleeparoo. You will feel great the next day by waking up naturally before your alarm even rings. Do this light every day for 10-30 minutes and your body will feel great. I wake up usually before the sun is out (6AM or so), it really doesn't matter if it's winter or not. It will help your body understand, it's time to wake up and in the evening to sleep. This thing is absolutely great and I'd say it is worth it.

tl;dr: great product, would recommend. The light is very bright and diffused enough to feel like daylight (i.e., you don't notice dots or anything similar that one might expect from an LED-based light). I purchased Northern Light's LiteUP box a couple years ago, which gets top ratings and was also a great light. The bulbs in that product burned out, however, and are now out of stock (and the company has been unresponsive to calls and emails). This LED option seems superior.

I hate winter and I got this to help with SAD. I use it everyday and feel like it has helped with the winter blues.

The light is fine, but I'm leaving 3 stars because it seems like I was misled that the lamp is 12k LUX when it's actually 10k. The instructions in the attached photo refer to a 10k max, and earlier reviews for this product refer to the lamp being10k. I was willing to pay more for 12k LUX and it seems like I was misled. I've seen this apparent bait and switch tactic on Amazon before, and I think people should be aware when inconsitencies like this exist before they buy.

I have looked into the benefits of sunlight and wanted to add light therapy to my routine. During the winter months, I find myself inside far too often and missing the benefits of sunlight. This light is huge! It provides 10,000 LUX of light. It is easy to turn on and adjust your brightness levels (4 choices) using the simple buttons on the side. I connected this light by my work from home desk so I can bask in the light while preparing for my work day. I wall-mounted it for convenience. The light is very bright and gives me the feeling of a bright morning. It wakes me up and makes me feel good. I feel this light is effective through the winter and continue using it daily.
