Great for a first aid kit
I'm an EMT and I got this pack to be used as a dedicated small kit bag for on-the-go days (short hikes or otherwise limited outdoor activity away from a vehicle). And it looks and works great. The front has a small Velcro/MOLLE compatible area that I have a smaller pouch on that contains my pocket-mask and it can be easily torn away if needed. The large main pocket is sizeable enough to fit a blood pressure cuff and stethoscope along with a small notebook and some snacks as well as a portable radio without being overstuffed. The remaining smaller pockets I'm able to carry exam gloves and other PPE; various bandages, gauze and tape; medications, trauma shears, and items that are otherwise roughly pocket-sized. Included in the photos is a size comparison with the sling bag next to North Face Surge II bag (I think it's ~ 30-32L in size). The various mounting points for the strap is also nice. Being able to switch how I carry it depending on what else I'm carrying, or weight distribution within the bag itself is nice. The materials are good as well, and I have no doubt it will hold up for a good while yet with moderate use and abuse.I recommend it.

It's OK...good, but not great
This is a decent quality bag. The material is a little thinner than some other bags I have, but it's OK. If you plan on using this to carry a "toy," note that access to the main compartment is not really "quick." I have other bags that have rip cords that you yank that opens the compartment immediately. This is not that. But all in all it's not a bad bag.
