Quick Reference to the Diagnostic Criteria from DSM-IV-TR

It's nice and easy to tote around but now with the DSM 5 out it would be prudent to become familiar with and begin to reference that version. As it relates to the purchase itself. It did arrive earlier than expected which was nice. A good copy except for the gazillion used stickers on the back cover. Had to wrap it to make it look more professional. All in all I am pleased for what I got - a very good pocket version of the DSM IV.

The book arrived very quick and in the condition as advertised, at a great price. This quick reference is wonderful as I am a grad student and this makes it easy to carry the DSM-IV-TR with me everywhere I go. Since the social work licensure test is based off the DSM-IV through 2014, this handy dandy book allows me to review and study for the exam throughout the day. Hoping they will make a pocket size DSM-5 in the future also.

The Quick Reference to the Diagnostic Criteria from DSM-IV-TR is truly a pocket-sized treasure (a lab coat sized). I paid only $24 for mine and it arrived in mint condition. It contains everything the larger size contain, except it appears to be missing some appendencies. The text will make references to them but they are not there. This became an issue when looking up a culture-based condition. What IS intact is priceless to me.

I needed the DSM for one of my psych classes. I bought this one to save myself a chunk of money, opposed to the 'regular' larger DSM IV. This one makes that one really completely unnecessary... it's complete in it's conciseness. I never needed to reference the other DSM to get information this one didn't have- it had everything I needed and more. Super glad I went with the quick reference version! I also really like how clean it's organized.

To Whom this may concern, I got the book within 5 days, which I think is great. The condition of the book should have said "excellent" because that is howI found it to be. All in all, great service, great pricing, and you now have a customer for the rest of my life, which God willing, will bea long time (now 52)!!!!!!!! You all or, singular you, have a good day (s).

Initial Review: The book price was reasonable, however, I wish that it wasn't too late to return text. In the middle of my semester I discovered that the text was void of pertinent information, and many of the pages are completely blank. I don't know who to blame for this, but there are many misprints in the book. Altered Review: After posting this I contacted company, and they were very helpful in expediting a replacement. Changed rating from 1 star to 5 stars.

I still prefer the DSM IV TR over the DSMV. I hope in some time the V will undergo some overhauls, but for now, I feel better about talking with clients about issues using this instead of the V.

Of note, I purchased this book approximately 3 years ago. This was kept in my white coat constantly. The text and formatting are very helpful, but the pages (index in particular) began falling out just a couple months in
