Don't consider any other leak detector over this one!
I can't begin to tell you the stress I have over leak detectors. I bought a D-LINK several years ago that was impossible to set up and as of 2023, the company decided that they weren't going to support the product anymore. This left countless owners out in the cold with an app that no longer supported their detector. So, I had to consider finding a new leak detector system. And, let me tell you, it wasn't an easy task. I poured through more than a dozen such detectors on Amazon reading reviews that didn't convince me there was any reliable enough system worth investing my money in... ...that is until I came to X-Sense. There were some very encouraging Amazon reviews touting this as the best product of its kind with ease of setup and exceptional performance for indicating water leakage. Let me tell you, this product exceeded ALL expectations. To begin with, I was fearing the setup process knowing what I had gone through when I set up my D-LINK. Shortly after purchase, the manufacturer sent me an email with a link to an online doc with what I am assuming was an updated installation guide. This was something I very much appreciated as it showed that the manufacturer was still taking an interest in making certain that its customers had a favorable installation experience. And get this...installation took under 7 minutes and it was completely effortless and flawless. The big thing to keep in mind when installing is that this won't connect to a 5GHz network, which is what most home routers are outputting. To get around this, all you need to do is create a guest network that generally broadcasts in the preferred 2.5 GHz band that this device needs to connect to. I started with the base installation and which took less than a minute to complete. You simply download the X-Sense app and it walks you through the process. After that, adding any one of the 3 satellite leak detectors takes even less time. You push a button and it connects to the base station. We have a very large home and I was very happy to see that the signal range in which the base and satellites communicate with each other is pretty immense. There has been no problem with a signal loss between devices. Once everything was connected I did a quick test where I placed one of the satellite detectors in my sink and ran a small stream of water. As soon as the water hit the sensors on the bottom of the detector, a loud alarm on the base station went off and a notification was sent to my iPhone. WOW! Could it be THIS EASY? I have never seen something like this come together so easily. It was so effortless to set this up. What you get in the box are one base station and 3 satellite detectors. You also get a power cord and brick for the base station. I would advise centralizing the base location in your home. The app is very good with one major annoyance that has been talked about in other reviews here. The plus is that the app is well laid out and easy to use. It offers a terrific one-glance look at your activated system, its online status, and battery levels. And speaking of batteries, they are easily replaceable. On the downside, I wish the developer would update the app so users are not annoyed by the advertisement to purchase extra protection. It's fine to read about it once, but I shouldn't have annoying reminders pop up when using the app. It's really ruining a perfect experience. Perhaps in an update, the software developer can fix this. Other than that, I am just ecstatic about this purchase. I still can't believe it took mere minutes to set everything up without any of the errors and hassles one expects from these products. If you are looking for the perfect leak detector system, I can't fathom you can do any better than this at the approx. $50 price point.

Caught a sump pump failure before it became a flood - paid for itself many times over
I installed the X-Sense Wi-Fi Water Leak Detectors mainly as a precaution around the basement, sump pump, and utility area, and they already proved their value. A few weeks after setting them up, our sump pump failed during heavy rain and the detector sent an alert to my phone almost immediately. I was able to get downstairs and deal with the problem before the pit overflowed and flooded the basement. That alone made these worth every dollar. Setup was straightforward, and the Wi-Fi connection has been stable so far. Notifications come through quickly, and the app makes it easy to see which sensor triggered. I also like that the alarm on the unit itself is loud enough to hear if youโre in the house, but the phone alert is what really makes the difference when youโre not home. Build quality seems good, and the sensors are small enough to place anywhere you might have a leak risk - sump pump, water heater, under sinks, behind the washing machine, etc. Battery installation was simple and the app walked through pairing without much trouble. If you own a home with a basement, sump pump, or anything that could leak, I highly recommend these. Mine already prevented what could have been a very expensive mess, and that makes this one of the easiest 5-star reviews Iโve written.

It works!
These devices work great, accurately notifies of leaks while we are away from the home. We have one under the house, near water heater and under sinks. The wifi connects great even under the house, Great purchase

Buy this Sensor
This water leak sensor is awesome! This is the third one I purchased to protect my water system in my house. Perfect example, about 3 months ago I had a water leak in my washer. The hose burst. The alarm from the main unit sounded loudly and also on my phone. I just happened to be home, so I shut off the water valve. This unit saved me a lot of money and headaches!

Extremely sensitive
Very easy to set up. Extremely sensitive. Maybe a bit too sensitive, as it goes off when set on my washroom tile floor and there is a little condensation. So giving it 4 stars as it defeats the purpose if I get multiple false positives. Love the ability to remot e monitor

Easy-to-use
Easy setup. Let's me notifies me if it looses power. So far they are great. They give me peace of mind when not at home. Sensor is loud enough to hear it. They stay connected and they seem to be working accurately.

We recommend X-Sense leak detectors. They are now installed on all three of our properties.
My wife and I own two condos in Maui. Our AOAO is now requiring leak detectors to help prevent water damage due to leaks while owners are away from their property. We researched several leak detectors that meet the association criteria (sensors located at every water source, wireless connection with 24/7 monitoring, battery state indicators and low battery level warning, multi-property support, Safety agency approved, etc...) and selected this X-Sense system with 10 sensors for each condo. The system was easy to set up and use. While we were concerned over the WiFi 2.4GHz bandwidth requirement, it turned out our multi-band routers hooked up to the base station without issue. It will also survive a power failure which is comforting to know. We were so happy with the system we bought a third system for use in our home in California. We have the X-Sense app on both of our phones now, each of which with a drop down-menu showing the state of all sensors at any one of the three properties. The system claims to support up to 5 households with up to 50 devices each (not just leak sensors but other function like smoke & CO2 detectors). We have had the systems for a few weeks now and outside one alarm (triggered by our cleaner who accidentally brushed up against a sensor in the kitchen with her mop) we have had no issues.

Excellent!
It all started with a mailbox sensor. I researched all that was offered on Amazon and decided on X-Sense. I am so glad I did. I now also have a driveway sensor, multiple door and window alarms, motion sensors, 6 keypads, smoke and heat alarms, water sensors, temperature and humidity sensors. I have a complete security system and a complete safety system. X-Sense tells you you can have 50 devices on a base station. What it doesn't tell you is that you can have multiple base stations. I have 2, one named security and one named safety. I control everything from the app and get notifications for everything. The available settings in the app are extensive, including naming the device, naming its location, choosing a notification sound, etc. You can set the security alarm for off, home and away. You can set the motion sensors to only function when in away mode. I am just extremely satisfied with everything. Choose a device, tap a button on the app, double tap a button on the device, it connects and you are done. If desired you can then tweek things, even editing the order the devices show up on the screen in the app, as well as naming and renaming whatever you want.

Dependable
This was the second time I ordered X-Sense alarms from Daveberry. With tariff disruptions worldwide, both times the orders got delayed. But, Doveberry kept me informed about the status and was transparent about it. I found them to be very professional.

Critical Alert
These water leak detection sensors work well. I already had 'dumb' stand alone sensors that don't connect to wifi, but my concern was I would not hear them if I wasn't near by, or outside the house. The X-Sense wifi detector gives me more piece of mind. What I experience: When one of the 3 leak sensors goes off, about 1-2 seconds later the main base also sounds an alarm but much louder and I get a critical alert on my phone from the downloaded app. I worked seamlessly. To test it I dipped on of the sensors in water which initiated the whole process. When I took the sensor out of the water the alarms stopped and I got a new message that the leak had stopped. The sensor alarm is a short repeating beep which is not even as loud as the alarm on my stove. The base alarm is much louder and can be heard all through the house, so place that alarm somewhere central. I like that the base came with a usb cord and power plug. There are buttons on all of the items to silence them, as well it can be done from the app. I also like that the sensors came with AAA batteries included and installed, but that they can be replaced when they eventually die. All of this makes it ready to go easily right out of the box, you just need to download the app and pair all the items. One thing I would like is if more than one email address could be added to the app for an email alert. Overall I'm quite please.

Doesn't connect. Tech support doesn't respond. Returned
It connected to our wifi and refused to connect over a period of days to their "cloud services". Tech support ignored requests twice. Even their partner program email ignored all requests. I have never seen such bad support for a product - it's literally as if they don't want to sell it.
