I’ve spent a lot of time camping over the years, and if there’s one thing that can ruin a perfect night by the fire, it’s mosquitoes. I used to load up on sprays, coils, and bug zappers but, nothing ever worked quite right. I’ve used the prior Thermacell products and they worked better than anything I’ve used before. That all changed when I brought the Thermacell E-65 to my campsite. Thermacell really out did themselves this time. This little device is incredible. I set it up on the picnic table next to the tent and within minutes, the mosquitoes were gone. No buzzing, no bites—just peace and quiet under the stars. The coverage is solid, and it doesn’t smell like chemicals or leave a sticky residue like most repellents. It’s totally silent, easy to charge, and the repellent cartridges last long enough to get me through an entire weekend trip. I don’t even have to think about it anymore—I just turn it on, and enjoy the campfire, meals, and sleeping with the tent open without worrying about bugs. If you camp even a few times a year, the Thermacell E-65 is hands-down one of the best gear upgrades you can make. I don’t head into the woods without it.

I wish I’d purchase this sooner. Im a magnet to mosquitoes and deer flies and typically get eaten alive as soon as I step outside. This thing has been a life saver. I can actually enjoy sitting out on my porch now. Definitely worth the price and super easy to charge and use. It’s also smaller than I expected which is great cuz you can just tuck it in a corner out of the way.

I got the Thermacell Mosquito Repellent 6.5 hour unit. It comes with charger and your first dose package. It.claims 36 hours of use and then you need to buy more little doses of liquid. I was skeptical that this would just be a never ending cost. The machine is decently priced but then you need the liquid. I tried it in the hot tub. This is where we get the most bites. Hot air, water, night time. It was not the hottest and humid of nights we have had, but I also didn't get bit up like normal. I would say this machine makes a difference. Will it protect you from every single mosquito, time will tell, however I am glad I bought it. I did take a photo of how much liquid was used. This was about an hour and the very first so it needs to wick into the filament. I don't think it's that crazy of an amount. I did already buy additional liquid units during a sale so I have enough for this summer and maybe into next. I have some trips planned and I think I just may take this with me (yes, abiding by all battery and liquid laws) Overall I am pleased My rating is a 4 only because if you take the price of the routine liquid into account this unit is rather expensive, however it is portable. I would have liked to give it 4.5 stars.

I received this device on April 5, 2026. After unpacking it, I charged it until it reached full charge per the guide. The next day I started using it over the next 3 days for a total of 5 hours. On the 4th day I had to charge it. So, at best I got 5 hours of use before having to charge it. I placed it on my desk located in a corner on my patio with two walls. So it is not in a wide-open outdoors setting. In terms of protection, there is some protection, but not even close to the statement, “Thermacell is scientifically proven to repel mosquitoes from a 20FT zone.” Maybe 2ft at best. When I’m seated at my desk, there are still a few mosquitoes around my legs when there should be none. Lastly, there is supposed to be “36 hours of refill.” I may get another hour, for a total of 6 hours out of it. When I looked for replacement refills, I was shocked at how expensive they are. A single refill from Amazon costs $24.99, $36.98 from Lowes, $36.99 from Base Pro Shops, $33.45 and from Walmart. This is more than 50% of the $46.56 I paid for the device on Amazon. Any retailer where I saw refills for less than $24.99 were “out of stock”. So, that means these refills are at least $4 per hour of use for the 6 hours I’m getting out of them instead of the 36 hours stated, making the refills cost prohibitive for me. I think I’m more disappointing in the cost of refills than in the lack of coverage. It seems as if they are making their profit selling refills. The Thermacell E-Series has officially become part of my outdoor setup. Whether I’m out back working on team strategy for my basketball team or just enjoying a quiet evening on the patio with the dogs, this thing holds it down. It creates a legit huge zone of protection. No sprays, no sticky residue, no citronella cloud hovering around. Just clean, quiet coverage. I turn it on, give it a few minutes, and the mosquitoes vanish like they got the memo. Battery life is solid as I get about 8 hours on a full charge, and the refills are easy to swap out. It’s compact too, so I can toss it in a bag and take it to games, cookouts, or wherever I need that invisible force field. It is pet friendly as well. I am using it non-stop when my doggies go out to play. Bottom line: if you’re tired of being the main course at every outdoor event, this is the move. It’s sleek, scent-free, and actually does what it says. I’m impressed.

This product is small, lightweight, discreet, and easy to carry. The instructions were clear, there’s no noticeable odor, and it’s obvious when it’s working thanks to the subtle smoke coming from the top. While I do believe the device was functioning, it didn’t fully meet my expectations. I set it up outside my tent and let it warm up for about 15-20 minutes, then observed the area for the next 30-60 minutes. I did notice a reduction in mosquitoes, but not enough for me to feel comfortable sitting still outside the tent without still getting bitten. Although the product advertises a protection zone of up to 20 feet, I don’t think it consistently delivers that level of coverage. It does help repel mosquitoes, just not as strongly or reliably as I had hoped. Overall, I’d give this product 3 stars. It works to some extent, but the mosquito reduction wasn’t sufficient for the level of protection I was expecting.

Highly impressed with this little device! Easy set up, quick charge. It takes a bit for it to get going, so I turn it on, then get my coffee going, and ho back onto my back porch. Prior to Thermacell, drinking my morning coffee on the porch was a game of Dodge the mosquitoes. Now it’s next to nothing. A great improvement. I use it for about 30 mins each morning, and charge it every 3rd day. I just ordered those refill cartridges. I say go get it if you want to enjoy your porch without getting bit up by the mosquitos.

Purchased so my daughter can take our no mobility senior dog out in the evenings and not be eaten alive (we live in MN). She was wearing a mosquito net hat, a shirt with repellent in it and spraying her hands, jeans and shoes, but she was still getting bitten. Plus, it was extra work to clean up each night and the gear was hot to wear. The reviews seemed pretty positive for this product so I thought we’d give it a go. We’ve been using it for a couple months now and are really pleased with it! She’s been able to go outside without the hat, bug spray and shirt and has only been bitten once. It doesn’t smell weird and the radius is large enough to also protect the dog. Since it’s only used when taking the dog out and turned off as soon as she’s done, the liquid in the cartridge is lasting a long time. It also warms up and turns off quickly so you’re not wasting liquid there either. The unit itself is small, yet lightweight and has a solid base so you don’t need to worry about it tipping over. The refills are kind of pricy, but totally worth it. I would definitely purchase another!

Funciona bien, pues ahuyenta los zancudos, pero si batería le dura poco. Se tiene que cargar todos los días. Además, el líquido también dura poco y el repuesto no es barato.
