Delicious 😋
The media could not be loaded. These noodles are tasty! They were well packaged. I got the Chili Sesame Peanut Garlic. Is was easy to cook. The noodles have a beautiful texture. I love how long and chewy they are. The reason I didn’t give 5 stars is because I could barely taste the chili and the sesame and peanut flavors were very strong. For that personal reason, I won’t buy it again.

Very Authentic Taste
I love Dan Dan Noodle and it's a bit expensive to order it for take out so I've been searching for an alternative. I've tried several brands from amazon but this is by the far the best tasting and most authentic Dan Dan noodle kit that I've tasted, it's almost perfect. I will be buying again and again.

Pretty good, but not sure I'd get them again
These Noodology meal kits are in many ways typical of the upper-tier packaged noodle meals available at Asian markets. The more expensive the package, the more little packets of flavorings, toppings, and garnishes are included. The variety pack has three flavors, each having the same type of noodle, but with varying numbers of additions, with Dan Dan having the most and Soy & Scallion having the least. Unfortunately, I don't think I'm a big fan of the noodles themselves, which are unlike any I've had or even seen before. They look like thin, narrow lasagna noodles. So that keeps me from giving these noodles a full five-star rating.Preparation is fairly straightforward. You cook the noodles in boiling water, drain them, then add the toppings. (Dan Dan noodles have an additional step, described below.) The noodle package contains a small plastic tray which hints at a microwave cooking method, but only stovetop instructions are provided, so it seems to be superfluous (i.e. wasteful) packaging. Thankfully, the kits come in recyclable boxes and not more plastic. Here are my subjective impressions of the favors; your mileage may vary. I've also included photos of each meal with its box for reference. (The photos without a box are the Dan Dan Noodles, before and after mixing the toppings.) I prepared each meal as instructed with no additions except green onions and sometimes a little soy sauce. The Dan Dan Noodles were the most filling, but my least favorite flavor. The kit comes with five(!) packets in addition to the noodles. Two are fairly large toppings -- the chick peas and the plant-based meat sauce -- that you heat up in the boiling water before cooking the noodles. (Not sure why a previous reviewer didn't understand the point of putting the packets in the water; it's to heat them up, of course.) One of the smaller packets contains just the chili oil, which is nice because it allows you to control the spice level. My first impression of the flavor was good, but by the end I was not really enjoying it anymore. I must admit never having had Dan Dan noodles, so I cannot comment on its authenticity.Chili Sesame-Peanut Garlic noodles were my second favorite. This kit has three packets: sauce, garlic topping, and chili oil. Sesame, peanut, and garlic are a classic combination and I again appreciated the separately packaged chili oil for spice control. Here I added sliced green onion as a flavorful garnish and a little soy sauce for salt and umami.Soy & Scallion, with only one sauce packet IIRC, was the simplest, but my favorite flavor. Inspired by the image on the box with a garnish of shredded nori, I sprinkled a small amount sesame-nori furikake on the noodles. I may have liked this one the most because it was more Japanese in flavor.Unfortunately for me, my least favorite (Dan Dan) is the one Noodology decided to include two of to make the four-kit variety pack. That one's still on the pantry shelf until I am hungry enough to giv e it another try.

Read the directions carefully.
These were easy to make and tasty, even though I mis-read the directions. The directions state to "Add the unopened topping packets" to the boiling water. Of course they were initially unopened, but I opened them to add them to the boiling water. My mistake! That could have been written a little differently, like "Add the topping packets, unopened, to the boiling water". I figured it out as things were not looking right though. Maybe I should not drink my wine while cooking, and save it for the having with the meal!
