Best "rugged terrain" flip flops I've ever put on
These are not your average slumming around the house flip flops, they actually provide support and have great grip, even when wet. I have only worn these 1 day, but it was the ultimate flip flop test day. I normally wear an 11 wide shoe, so I tried the 11/12 size. The back of my foot fits perfect, but there's a good 3/4" extra in front of my toes. They hold snug to my feet, hardly even "flop" much, so the extra on the toe isn't even noticeable when walking. I doubt the 10/11 would leave enough support for my heel. The first test was a 2 hour drive to the lake. Normally by this time the lack of support from flip flops will leave your heel sore to the point you just kick them off and drive barefoot, but these Kaibacks kept my feet in place, cushioned, and comfortable the whole way. The big test was launching the boat - most flip flops turn to snot rags with a couple drops of water and you will bust your tail. I walked into the water, stepped onto the trailer and hopped on the boat with sure footing all the way. Even underwater, the shoes stayed gripped solidly to my feet and gave sound footing to the ground and even the smooth painted trailer. All day, these things continued to impress me, on and off the boat, wet grass, sand, wet pavement, rocks, hills, steps... My only complaint at the end of the day is the front strap was starting to rub the skin between my toes raw. Granted, it was my first day in flip flops this year, so my feet are still tender from the winter, and I put about 3.5 miles on them in a day. The straps are definitely tougher than most, but hopefully that speaks to the long term durability. I'm betting as my feet toughen up into the summer and the straps break in, this won't be an issue.Bottom line: if you enjoy an outdoor active lifestyle, these are for you! I think I'm willing to try these on a kayak trip down the river, something I never thought a flip flop would survive!Update after 2 years and many miles: The middle strap on one side popped the other day and stretched to almost twice the original length, now I have to strain my toes to keep it from falling off. I was sad to toss them out, but I'm here ordering another pair today!

About time.
Let me start by saying I hate flip-flops. I have bought many throughout the years only to be disappointed on how they fit, how the feel, how they wear, how they slip, and that uncomfortable feeling between the toes. Hate them. But I buy them cause I go boating and to the beach often, and I dont like sandals, crocs, boat shoes, or anything else I have ever bought. In fact, I hate most summer style footwear.I read the reviews on these and decided to try them. I ordered mens 11 and 12, but what arrived was 10 and 12. One too small the other too big. Return and refund was easy and quick so I ordered an 11 again. The 11 is a true fit as I wear 11 usually. So off to the boat and the beach to try these I went. Like I said, I hate flip-flops.Until now and, about time.First, these are comfortable and provide great support. I am 52, 6 ft all, and 210 lbs. I walked all day in them, on the sand, on the dock, great support and no issues between the toe.Second, they grip. Anyone who is on a boat knows how important it is to wear non slip foot apparel. These arent listed as non slip which is a surprise, because they grip and grip very well.Lastly, the style and cost. They have a wide strap so they dont look like a womans flip flop. And the price I feel is reasonable all around. Now how long they will last will be my next question. But as of now, I am very happy with these.No. I was not paid to write a review, or anything of the sort. Just a regular guy writing this for general information.

Recommended by a friend and I like them.
My friend told me about these sandals right after my previous pair had broken so I was interested anyway. I liked the look of the construction and the hiking boot looking sole, as well as the look of the nice support. After wearing them for about a week I have to say I am impressed with the fit and support. If you want some sandals to wear a lot and be comfortable, I honestly do have to recommend these. It feels like standing on the pads made for people who have to stand all day. They are very comfortable. The construction looks like it will last also. I am very pleased with them.

Seam between gray and black plastic pinches skin.
I have US 9 feet. The previous reviews were claiming that sizes ran somewhat small, so I bought the 9-10 size. These are a bit too big. Also there is a groove between the black and gray plastic that runs under the ball of my foot. This pinches the skin when I walk. If I walk far in these, this would cause a blister.

My first impression is "I love 'em"!
I have purchased a couple of pair of the same $50+ "trendy" quality sandals in the past that lasted a year or so -- then fell apart. I decided to try the Kaiback Drifter simply based upon the looks and the price point. I have had them a couple of weeks and have worn them daily. My first impression is that they are every bit as comfortable- if not more so, than the other (more expensive) brand I worn in the past. What I am most impressed with is the grip the soles provide when walking on the sand or trails, and the lateral support when walking on uneven terrain - even with wet feet. My first impression is "I love 'em"!

Comfortable, but...
Comfortable at first, but tend to rub the top inside of my feet at the label location, under the strap.

Can I give them 6 stars please????
LOVE these flipflops. I live on a small homestead and when I go outside I need something on my feet (other than chicken poo!). I would usually wear slip on shoes, and slip on my muck boots in the garage, but over the summer really wanted to go barefoot, but don't like bare feet in the boots. These gave me a great SOLID option. Great solid flip flops with great tread and traction. I wore them non stop outside all summer long. You'd hardly know it to look at them, they held up great.Update: Bought in July of 2018, and the toe strap on the right flip-flop broke at the end of August 2019. Wore them July - September of 18, and May - August 2019, every single day. That's still 5 stars to me, and I ordered another pair.
