It is plain white and not textured. The reason I purchased it was for our Christmas letter I thought it was a better quality than the copy stores 8 x14 paper.

Is this double-sided presentation paper?

Both sides are printable. Just a reminder ... this is matte, not glossy. Both sides are the same. I let my ink dry for a minute or two if I'm printing both sides of the paper. No problems so far.

Has anyone tried this paper to print out custom or replacement cover art sheet inserts for games and movies?

Yes. This is the only paper that I've found that will work (for high quality) movie covers. Your other options would be photo paper, but most printers and cover software will not properly print a movie on 8 1/2x11 paper, you need 8 1/2x14.
